Microsoft claim its a bug, but I'm not so sure.

Haven't installed or actually used "chrome" in years. Edge is based on chrome anyway.
It's basically Microsofts fork of chrome with all their services integrated.
It's all Firefox for me, but I have alot of clients complain to me when edge takes over chroms as default after an update.
I just apply the registry hack using edgeblocker and problem is gone for good.
