Summarising all the candidates so far...  

We can only have 10 in a poll so we need to trim the list down, so if there are any that stand out to trim from the list let us know...
It's also not too late to add more to the list...

The requirements are...
- Simple, catchy and easy to remember. 
- It needs to work with the TMMB acronym ie we are changing the TM.
- It is essentially a brand name.

Think about how it would sound in a sentence if you were telling someone about it...

Putting it like that, not sure I like any of them. That is, assuming you mean, that if you're telling a friend about this site, you might say "it's a messageboard called "Talk Master". Is that what you mean?

Not at all, the TM component is exactly what we are renaming. Currently it is 'Too Many' - what i'm suggesting is, if we want this to be a catchy brand name to attract new users, then the new name should not need to rely on the 'Message Boards'  (or whatever other word that the MB are) to make sense...

think of the all the big? brands, McDonalds, TradeMe, Dell, NZ1ssues even... Short and sweet
The other way of looking at it is should our brand name be a name or a sentence?

this is just my personal opinion on what it needs to be, if it is to be an attractive proposition to new users.

Mischief Makers and Mixed Messages and Tell Me More don't fit, so they're out.

To be honest, I've done alot of google searching, in trying to find the ones I've posted, so I'm all out of ideas now.

My vote would be for....TranzMit; or TellMe.

At least the Talk2Me must have been a good idea, if it's been taken.:-))

Well they kind of do fit in that they aren't part of a sentence and can be used on their own.

it could be, for example, The Mixed Messages Board (full name) which means we don't need to change domain - but it doesn't need the 'The' or the 'Board' to make sense.  For all intents and purposes it could just be known as 'Mixed Messages' (for example).

TranzMit is definitely up there though

Ok. I like Mischief Makers, coz let's face it, we have hunni and lilith for starters. lol

I assume you've googled it, and to me, it kinda doesn't quite fit.

I suppose that to be PC, maybe a Maori name might be good. It seems to be the 'in' thing these days.

I did and all that came up was a food outlet down the road from me Tu meke BBQ

Google translates it to "You do not"

so I feel like i'm missing something...

and ultimately trying to decide if its worthy of going in the list for our new name poll
