Posted by: beetle - 24-07-2024, 10:40 PM - Forum: PC World Chat - Replies (15)

So we moved house. triple the size house almost.  currently have a fritzbox modem   the wifi cannot reach from one end to other end of the house. lounge is ok, bedrooms are ok,  kitchen and dinning room no go Rolleyes

Would it be better to buy / update modem or buy a wifi booster thingy ?
the  install of fibre and modem is downstairs in the office. while the rest of the house is upstairs - concrete floors. not sure what is our best option or  possible price I may  be looking at ?
cant move fibre box. and modem  would have to come up through concrete floor im picking if we move that.
Currently have cat cable going through garage, upstairs, down hall to my pc Rolleyes

  Kamala Harris

She's gone on the offensive, portraying the election as a choice between Trump, the convicted felon & herself, the former prosecutor.

She may not be perfect, but the alternative is far worse.

The most dangerous party is the Maori party
Posted by: C_T_Russell - 23-07-2024, 11:30 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (10)

I would have said the Green party only 6 months ago, but look how radicalized the Maori party is.

They want their own separate government and now they are openly inviting Darleen Tana to join their bunch.
She needs to be kicked out of parliament full stop, there is not place for this rot in govt.

Thumbs Up Jehovah's Witnesses lose last ditch court case
Posted by: C_T_Russell - 23-07-2024, 11:25 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (2)

over abuse in care report.

They have the audacity to even try and fight this is beyond belief.
Was covered on 1news tonight, also I see ex-gloriavale members are taking legal action against both the govt and Gloriavale itself.
I feel the govt is partly responsible, because they permitted Gloriavale to continue operating.
Jehovahs Witnesses should not be a charity either, they ruin peoples lives just the same.

  Tailgate Boot Strut replacement
Posted by: Galaxy01 - 21-07-2024, 11:21 PM - Forum: PC World Chat - Replies (5)

I need to replace the tailgate boot struts of my old 2003 Toyota Corolla RUNX

I have phoned around to look for the replacement part but unfortunately, couldn't find one with exactly length.
Went to Repco this morning, gave him my Registration No. and he sold me a set of struts. But, to my disappointment, they are of different length - it's 70mm longer than my old (existing) strut.
Do you think that it should be OK?  or it won't work, return it to Repco?

Do I need to get the exact length, or approx length should be fine?

I couldn't get the exact part number as the printed number has faded, cannot be read.

Cheers
