But ct, nowhere in DEI policies is selection qualified on merit left out! Quite the reverse. I was a female bank officer when women were not selected to be lenders. I had to prove myself better than the male officers available for promotion in order to get into that role. I had to take overtime hours they refused, and work harder than they did. To demonstrate I wanted that job more than the guys did and could do it equally as well. Just because I was female. That is exclusion at work. At least I was white, that helped.
Things are better now. With DEI working to promote those previously excluded on the basis of race, or gender, or age, or whatever else the patriarchy could use as an excuse to monopolise opportunity. Or to profit from that control.
Because that is what fighting DEI is really all about. The concentration of power into fewer hands.

It doesn't appear that way with how the greens have selected their candidates.
It's not like Chloe was not a follower of Benjamins Instagram page.
Either she was OK with the posts, or ignorant, but going by what she has said, it appears she is OK with it all.
But regardless, I would have been concerned with the content of that page and asked him some serious questions if I was in Chloe's position.
If you want to be a diverse party, that's fine, just please find people fit for the job.

Because past scandals might suggest that isn't exactly true. But then maybe you are too young to remember the really juicy ones...

Quite the reverse, if you have been in that position you would know that not only do you have to have the qualifications, they have to be greater than the white male applicant standing alongside.
Look around. The evidence is everywhere in every sphere of our community. Only the blind, or deliberately ignorant cannot see the reality those of us who have fought for DEI policies have been up against for several generations.

Perhaps those who object to DEI dont mind the quality of non DEI politicians,as long as they're of the white male variety?
