You do realise that jobs and businesses are human inventions, along with the lifestyles they support? So, it follows that they are not really essential to life, and can be replaced or rebuilt. Unlike the ability to breathe.
Now, losing that does destroy life.
The media is a human invention too, one to spread propaganda, at least thats not working out too well for them at the moment.
