Can't do a video of Stella and cat Meebo as Stella has been gone almost six months now.
She may have been poisoned, 20% chance, not sure. We've got some horrible people living in this over sixties estate, also the area is not too good.
Here's a picture of Sadie and Stella on the bed, Sadie the brown dog is still with us and will be visiting with her Mum on Saturday.

I did it! One wheeled hose cart all together with no leftover bits. Do I recommend this product? It is really well made, quality product ideal for old ladies to wheel the hose around the garden, $45 from Trade Depot, so yes.

morning ladies
We're in for another hot day today. MrK has already watered the vegies. Yesterday was a continually busy day, there always seemed to be something needed to be done. By the evening I was knackered lol. MrK asked me to find some cabbage plants and nope, couldn't find any. I did find a sea holly
for the garden though. I plant them whenever I see them as I love love love the blue flowers. I see on Stuff they are going to put speed cameras on the Waikato Expressway. About time too, there are some real nutters speeding there.
Yesterday I picked my sister up from Cambridge, drove to SH1 and omgg the Pairere Hall has burned down. We have no idea what happened but there is a big fence around it now. People park their cars there when carpooling as it has a nice easy entry and exit and a good meeting spot. And Roma, the little church in the Hinuera village is being closed down too
It's costing too much to maintain. No doubt someone will buy it and convert it into something.Housework for me today, MrK is feeding our friend's dogs and watering their garden then picking the ham up from the butcher. He'll pick the Furry One up for the trip into the butchers lol. The Furry One loves it (which dog wouldn't lol). He can park right outside the butcher so the Furry One can see him and vice versa.

Morning everyone
Overcast today so bound to be sticky and humid.
Yippee cut 15 minutes off the back lawn last night too.. So what used to take over 3 hours to do , altogether now takes 1 hour 45 minutes. I went out at about 7pm thinking I can go slow, its the hilly side and watch Freddie on delay if I have to, but was in and tidied up before 8pm. The front has grown quickly this time.
Off to the homes this morning, but Ill go do my bloods, I delayed them a week to get over the holiday closed days. Ill get the grumpy one a block of cheese and they can dish it out. Ill buy a slicer too so hopefully they know how to use them. Its not a habit I will keep up but better in this heat, to do.
Then Ill go check on Bobbie and say goodbye to Colleen. Shes off to Wellington tomorrow, home on Tuesday.
Im going to Pukekohe tomorrow. Early. I miss sausages. And cant eat the Hellers ones, and too much garlic in the beehive ones, so Ill go to the Mad Butcher. They aren't the best but they stay down.

Good morning.
Overcast so far but expecting another hot day.
Some history gone there KM. I googled and see it was built in 1958. The police alerted to it by a truck driver and know where the fire started ... probably the same old story of some lowlife with too much time on their hands! The cute little church is bound to have a 'new' life.
Will go and collect my ham soon and no doubt catch up with family who have come up from the SI. The kids reminded me yesterday how many sleeps to Christmas now!
1 year since my mum passed away ... it's been a busy, fast moving year.

Worked on baby quilt top about half way hope to get to flimsy stage today so that I can get into quilting mode next week.
DH advised me we need beer and cola grr. Could of told me yesterday when I was out and about. So will go get those supplies once finished my cuppa.

Still 51 kilos off, popped into the Drs rooms while I was there doing my blood this morning. And I still forgot to get a battery for mine dammm
. MrP was in a good mood so it was a good visit... Arthur not so much cos he had been told he was going home today, but his mother changed it to Sunday.
The girls were all good. Bobbie distracted cos she was waiting for the Music. But we had a good time. Colleen is excited about her trip. Rh David brought this cooling cloth in, wet it and wrapped it around my neck, it was Lovely. He had Bella with him so that was cool. And his Partner Campbell, who Bobbie is besotted with cos she was a Campbell, was smiling away which is rare..
Then I went to Pukekohe, got some sausages and Turkey Wings YUMMMMM from the Mad Butcher.. and a leg of Lamb from Countdown. So that's my spoils, then remembered I hadn't checked the custard powder, or got me any cheese, so I popped into NW..
Im home for the weekend now, apart from popping over to Pat and Maureen with some goodies. And getting a tv guide grr
Better check the bank, probably still a few dollars.. Have to go get a TV guide cos the twits have missed it Yet again.. I would NOT recommend getting a subscription. If I hadn't won this I certainly would be even more grumpy.. It was meant to finish in the first week of March. Every time they Miss they had another week onto it. Im already up to April 6th.
A question.. RH David is Gay. Thats awesome,, best friend a girl can have. But he said he wants us to be outlaws.. And even signed the card he gave me as Outlaw David.. I dont understand it. Do they have different meanings for that then hetro people do? Its just really odd. We are close, and do things for each other .. but am I missing something?

Perhaps meaning that in many countries LGBTQIA2S refers to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Two spirit and is not accepted fovourably in many countries thus they become Outlaws.
We are lucky here.

Learn something every day. I consider myself to be an 'outlaw' rather than 'in-law' as sometimes I've just never felt like I've fitted in with MrK's family. It's different now as we're all a tad older and maybe wiser. I think of 'outlaws' as those who go against the grain of things within families.I have a potato salad to make this morning using our freshly dug spuds and MrK is making a coleslaw as we have a Christmas doo to go to today. I ran out of mayo so made our own using an Annabel Langbien recipe. OMG why have I been buying mayo all these years lol. Annabel never lets me down lol, all her recipes work.

I think, thank you, I have it sussed now. We both have a cheeky naughty streak, which to some might look like Norty outlaws. So Im cool with that. And we both love helping our people.
Yesterday RH David made a shortbread based custard tart. Definitely needed to be called a Deconstructed tart tho. I think the heat in the car got to it tho cos it was very runny. But he left some for the girls as they had fish and chips for lunch.
Ill pop up and get a tv guide later, and flakes.. Totally forgot. And one cannot have trifle without flake on top. lol. But other than that and taking goodies next door I will relax. Which is why I want the tv guide. If it was normal programming Id be fine, but I dont want to miss anything different .

Jamie did a stunning trifle on the box this week, a cheats version using panetone and tinned custard. It looked magnificient but I wasn't tempted, I think trifle is one of those things we either like or don't.
His beetroot cured salmon now THAT tempted me a lot. So I picked up a pack of Pams thin sliced to have on Vogels for Christmas breakfast. Not quite as fancy, but it is the thought that counts!
Hose wars continue in the village. Apparently someone's nose is out of joint over the hose cart, lol. Too bad, it works a treat with me still using a crutch! Selfish cow that I am. My garden got its first decent watering for weeks last night, and I did a bit of tidying up. So good for the soul, a bit of evening gardening...

A quick, early trip to the supermarket this morning was in the minds of a multitude of other people's this morning as well! Helpful that all the checkouts were operating to get out quickly again.
Annabel Langbein is good value. I follow her on IG and she has had a series of what needs to be done in her (stunning) garden over the last few weeks. She is free with tips, advice and recipes.
Haha OHH, never a dull moment in the village.
A bit of a tidy up today ... change of plan with Christmas Day at ours with 1 family. All our family will be here 3 days later for a get together.
No time for craft lately. Reading instead.

I saw Jamies Trifle Hunni.. It looked good. I just cant buy custard when I can make it lol.. I have loved custard since I was a kid. When my grandmother and mother used to cater weddings, I was sitting happily with a cup of custard.
I daren't take anything with custard to the first rest home. His was a flop yesterday, so it might upset him lol.
Sunny now. But a nice breeze is blowing through. My nightie which wouldn't fit on the airer is flapping in the breeze. Probably be dry in 5 minutes lol
