Well when I am logged in I just click the above mentioned link {View New Posts} on any Section and it searches and then shows me all new posts on all Sections, I don't have to go to any and all to see new posts, you are mistaken paulw.
Clicking {View New Posts} on any Section or the Main Page shows all new posts since the last time you/me/anyone visited.
You can also click {View Today's Posts} to see the days posts. Better than the PressF1 site in my opinion.
