I would have needed a bus. And help to get on it, lol...

RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 16-11-2024

Silver grey out there again, and delightfully cool. It makes all the greens really shine, but I am really ready for some sun again. I have so much more energy when the sunshine is there to bathe in.

And I have all those tomato seedlings to pot on. But no, here comes another shower to rattle the leaves of the plane tree. Just as well I have a good pile of library books.

RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 16-11-2024

morning ladies Smile The rain yesterday was very welcome and the garden has gone nuts! The sun is out so far so might change our sheets this morning while I can get them dry.

No point protesting if you can't cause disruption, either in or out of Parliament. I absolutely loved the haka in Parliament the other day. The look on Brownlies face was priceless... almost like.. I told you kids to play nice, now look what I have to do. And as for that weasel Seymour, playing the victim the next day, so typical of a bully. Shane Jones and his rubbish talk can take a flying leap as well. Just what did these politicians expect? Tuesday is going to be a doozy. I told MrK I wished I was marching with them, even if it was only a short distance.

Today I also have the excitement of pulling a few weeds lol. I might just run the hoe through where I weeded last week as the convolvulus will be loving the rain and growing a mile a minute. I have also realised there is room for two more compact climbing roses along the fence. That will give us five roses filling in all along it. I might suggest these can be Christmas presents from the kids Tongue

Better get cracking, have a list of things to get done and I run out of ooomph in the afternoon.

Happy crafting Smile

Popped on youtube and there's our parliament on Jimmy Kimmel. Wow, we made the big time, lol. And got complimented on our protest talent...

RE: You can never have enough... - Roma - 16-11-2024

Good morning.

Beautiful sunshine after a day of rain yesterday. The garden will benefit greatly.

The new neighbours had to battle on with their move in the teeming rain. There is also a dog which won't be so easy with no lawn and bare minimum concrete section!

Bunnings this morning to use a gift voucher on some supplies and a few wants then the day is free.

Enjoy the roses KM ... sometimes I think just one .... but which one!

Have a good day all.

RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 16-11-2024

lol OHH, I heard we made the international news. If you are going to protest, at least make it good lol. Natalie Blakey on Tik Tok has a good, easy to understand explanation about the hikoi. I would post the link but not on tik tok.

Choosing roses is not easy lol, roma. I see one and think ohhhh yessss! Then another catches my eye and it either comes home if I can afford it at the time or it goes on my 'need list'.

RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 16-11-2024

Let's see if I can do this...

Well, I tried lol...

RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 16-11-2024

Morning everyone

The sun is trying to come out here. We had heaps of rain yesterday.

Housework for me today, when I've done my games. Then I can sit and paint once I've run out of steam too lol.

I think the dirt I repotted the hydrangea into is changing the colour. It looks pinkish all over this morning.. Oddly the geranium I moved from the pot and quickly shoved into the smaller pot hasn't looked back lol.

Have a fab day all

RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 16-11-2024

Morning all
Very windy with few bits moisture temperature drop

New roses sound good KM but like me collecting fabric Big Grin

Changed sheets, vacuumed , bathrooms cleaned and floor washed.

Plan to stitch down applique  on car caddy today. Instructions say to whip stitch down but my dmc threads went out in the big size down and I am too mean to fork out $40 to get all the colours I need so I will be machine stitching

Made another summer top for me yesterday so on a roll to getting  some new summer stuff to wear.

Enjoy your day

The Furry One has rediscovered his youth. Anyone would think he was a pup again by all the running around and digging he has done this morning. Finding a rabbit munching on Mum's garden got him started lol. Boy JRs are obsessive wee dogs Heart Had to grab him by the tail after I found him digging where a rabbit was entering the property. The hole has been filled with concrete fill and a big heavy pot plant put on top.

RE: You can never have enough... - Lilith7 - 16-11-2024

I think that haka may prove to have been a moment when this govt was made to understand that we are not all in agreement with the weasel Seymour's ideas, & more, that a good many Pakeha disagree with him & his divisive ideas too.

Tipping down here, had ti rush out & grab washing..& now, the sun is out..

RE: You can never have enough... - Roma - 16-11-2024

Lol KM, I used to despair when I would see our JR on the run after something .... barking the whole way, spurring the prey to run even faster! Those ears SO deaf as she disappeared into the distance .....

RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 16-11-2024

I hope so, Lilith.

lmao roma, those ears are painted on, that's for sure. He's realised he can't dig his way out now and is inside giving MrK the side eye while MrK cuts a piece of cheese to have with his lunch... I know MrK sneaks the Furry One little bits of cheese lol.

RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 16-11-2024

Foxys ears are the same.. Only there for decoration lol.

Madam HAS to have cheese when I do or I wouldn't get any for myself.. And no matter how Quiet I am when getting the container out of the fridge, she hears it.

Which is also odd cos Im sure when I call her she doesn't understand that her Ears work either lol

RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 16-11-2024

Lol terrier ears pretty good at hearing the fridge open or dog bowls clinking.
Ours like food but cheese a good treat even the feline lines up when I cut myself  a slice.

Finished the car caddy just need to get four  match box size cars.

Supposed to be getting my hair cut in city on Tuesday think I will reschedule as hikoi leaving Porirua at 6am arriving Waitangi Park 9am lots roads closed, extra trains, and buses cbd will be crazy.
Hope those participating engage with select committee process I have my doubts the that the changes Act party want will get past that process.

Off up the ,ine tomorrow my sewing group final meet up for 2024

RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 17-11-2024

morning ladies Smile What a gorgeous sunrise we had this morning, stunning.

lol yep, the Furry One certainly knows when his food is ready. Selective hearing.

Our new neighbours moved in yesterday and were lucky to beat the rain. We will go and introduce ourselves when they have settled.

I didn't get the planned weeding done yesterday so will attempt it today. It's a garden I procrastinate over as it means dodging standard roses and tiger lilies. There are no excuses now that the bux hedge has been cut back though. Some of the poppies have been bowled over in the wind and one of my Albertine roses has lost some canes. Nothing a good snip back won't fix.

Happy crafting Smile

RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 17-11-2024

Morning all
Lovely sunny day  but nippy 11 degrees at moment

Waiting for my ride up the line  nice to be a passenger I am usually  the driver

Have fun day

RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 17-11-2024

Morning everyone

Lovely here but still dark grey clouds too out west.

I was up at 2-30 and the moon was sooo bright I could see the white clouds.

Might get the back lawn done, later if it stays fine. Its getting long.

Finished the 3rd part in the picture. Its odd only doing a section of a picture. The only thing I can make out is a dove I think it is. So Ill kit down that one. And kit up a Mandela, not your usual round one and it has Vibrant bright colours. and Ill kit up the 4th part too maybe today but more likely Tomorrow night or Tuesday.

Have a fab day all

RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 17-11-2024

Yes, I spotted the huge golden glow through the pohutukawa last night when I turned off the light. Supermoon season, and it is a glory to see.

RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 17-11-2024

make the most of the supermoon as the next one won't be until October 2025.

I've met our new neighbours and they are lovely. So good to hear kids playing outside again Smile

Garden weeded and only damaged two lilies this time. The first lily will be open either later today or tomorrow by the looks of it. Bux hedge trimmed back, and my mess cleaned up. Not too bad an effort.
