I wonder if us terrier owners  also exhibit similar traits of tenacity  Big Grin

RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 13-06-2025

Well, so long as you don't starting barking at passing mobility scooters Mica!

RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 13-06-2025

lol mica. It will be OK to bark at passing cars though and the postie and the bin person... Tongue I think there has to be a certain amount of stubbornness to own a terrier Heart

RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 13-06-2025

I can see if we ever meet KM, I better have treats in my pocket, lol...

RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 13-06-2025

I think you do have to be a certain type to have a terrier. We had two at one stage.

A psyco-mama Girl called Bella. And Digger .. She wouldn't let him near his babies, or eat his food near her. So we had to feed them separately.

I think my bark might be worse than my bite... BUT when it comes to my people I do protect and fight for them so perhaps I am a terrier at heart lol.

Dianne just told me we should Both be joining David at the dementia meetings.. She couldn't type the right words.. And I couldn't find my margarine.

I knew I had two pots of it. But I couldn't find it in either of the freezers or the freezer part on the fridge... Both were in the fruit drawer in the fridge.

I also DO NOT recommend playing in freezers when its already cold enough... The best part is tho, I have 6 pounds of butter, its like being a millionaire lol.

I have my new picture pressing.. its 25 by 115 cm's long. I have moved the Peace Lily to a spot where Madam cannot do any more damage to the leaves... The Big vase is in the kitchen now, and the hurricane vase, as it has become is on the drop side table with the fake Calla Lillies in it. And the new cookbooks are in place.

I'm going to do my games then go through the box in the bottom of the wardrobe here in the lounge.. I think its extra medical stuff, but I also want to find my nail polishes.

Now that Im eating better my nails are growing again and not breaking.. Even told the Dr lol... He is sending me for xrays on my spine and hips. Last ones were taken over 15 years ago.

As long as it's wine or chocolate, OHH, we'll be fine lol

I've finished!  What a marathon this was.  And a few mistakes here and there thanks to the repetitiveness.  Still, over all I am happy. 1.8m long x 35 cm wide.  One full ball of DMC crochet cotton (works perfectly for hardanger and much cheaper).

morning ladies Smile It's the last day of Field Days and foggy as heck. Wonder how many will leave their lights on at Mystery Creek.

Thank you for your kind comments yesterday. Overall, I'm happy with it and it looks great on the dressing table. Now to sort colours and beads for the sea horse. I have some leftover beads and silver metallic thread I used in the 1990s that could work for some of it. This is going to be blingy Tongue

A cruisey day all round today for both of us. This is my garden 'down time'. Except for the next fine couple of days when I'll give it a good weeding before spring and hopefully before the weeds start seeding. The new magnolia has beautiful buds, can't wait to see it flowering. And the winter daphne is beginning to flower now too. Snow white flowers against dark green leaves.

The Furry One is wanting to play. If I don't, he will keep pestering until I do. Heart

Morning all
Sun try to shine  yay

House stuff today its floors and bathrooms day. Sheets in wash and wool rest having a wee spin in the drier since cant habg outdoors.

Got coat bits cut out, found some faux leather got that cut today will interface the bits that require that. Prep socks up the time but worth it

Attended a talk by Waste Management Wellington yesterday  learned the minimum sizes of things that can be recycled. There is a great system to recycle here in the village everything except food and soft plastics. At least soft plastics can be recycled at the supermarket.

So more time in the sewing cave after my chores DH is glued to TV watching US golf open.

Enjoy your day

Morning everyone

Lol Kiwimade, Laughed at the lights on. Would be interesting to see how many did over the 3 days.

I fell down the You tube hole last night and it was 12-30 when I finally turned the lights off. oops. But it was fun.

I will pop out this morning and see what nice things the oppies have. Still wanting a smaller light for the hallway. So hopefully someone will have a touch lamp.

Madam has trained me. I have learnt not to tell her Im going out, that way she doesnt hide under the bed. And I can manage to shut the bedroom door so I dont have to go looking lol.

Going to paint today. Im over this picture, and have ones that I really want to do.

Have a fab day all

I woke up this morning out of the most outrageous dream and it has discombobulated me completely. I rarely remember dreams but there was no gentle transtition back to the waking world with this one so it is still in shadow form all around me. I will be puzzling it out for days!

I'm glad it wasn't real though, my kettle went walkabout in it and that'd be a disaster...

Maybe its with my Kettle Hunnie, I still haven't found it.

Didn't find a light today, but I got some bargains.  One being a Massive glass flat bowl? Dish? that will look lovely on the coffee table too... It will be nice having choices. $5 at mt best oppy.. And a free Holsts breadmaker cookbook,  and a couple of smaller white plastic trays for Madams Bowls.

Got two broderie Anglaise cream Pillow cases, one is for a Tri pillow. $1 each. And a black version of the lidded  basket I got last time in the warehouse for $7, I paid $5. It only landed in the Junction today. Yay. Good to hold and hide the plastic meat trays and plastic bags, without looking messy.

Probably the best buy and it was intended or at least hoped for, fish from New World. All packed today and marked down straight away. Not sure how many pieces yet but Ill know when I pack it up later. Schnapper and gurnard. I only had 2 pieces left in the freezer so it was needed and budgeted for..

Obviously Saturday morning is the best day to get fish.

Town was busy as its sports day but I think cos it was nice and fine too. Its getting dark now tho.

Schnapper? Oh you lucky woman. One of my favourites, along with john dory, hapuka, and best of all - blue cod...

I'm doing my online shop order. $161 and still not done. But no meat or veg in that lot, just the things I trust them to send me. And the heavies...

Trust me I consider myself lucky lol

There is $15-10 of Gurnard and $17-77 Od Schnapper.  A Total of $32-87.

Im now going to pack it up and see how many fillets there are. There are 6 small trays and at least 3 of them have multiple pieces on.

I never used to buy fish, then I thought one day you bare paying for what you eat. Theres no work or waste.

Its a good idea using the  online shopping especially for the larger heavy stuff that the Skoot wont handle.
