When it comes to temu she thinks its ok for others to do it for her. But I've said if Winz ever looks into my bank account they will see it and wont care if its her money etc. She has another friend down there that she orders through too. So its not like she will be stuck.. She knows how to use all the technology in her flash car that is a mobile drink cup container and stinks, she should be able to do orders on temu. And as for the Older woman she is basically ripping off, Its disgusting. I found out a while ago before her hubby left if he wanted to go visit his parents, even tho it was "Thier" car she charged him gas. I was floored when she told me that. and yet she toddles off to church..... RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 30-07-2025 some people, eh, popeye. The sun is out and bird puddings hardening in the freezer. The birds are not happy they have to wait lol but there is plenty of food around if they looked. And soy sauce mixed with fresh lime juice is sitting on the bench waiting to go onto tonight's chook. Thought it could marinade for a while. There was a box of fresh limes out on the road in town for anyone to help themselves too. Absolutely delicious and so fresh and tangy. MrK's caregiver couldn't get here, and they offered us the lady who tried to get him into the bath and did nothing but stand around and talk. Asked MrK (had phone on speaker so they heard) and he said, no, would rather go without than have THAT woman here. The woman from the agency was stunned when I told her about this caregiver even though I had informed the company about her after she left. Communication isn't the greatest with this company. No thunder or lightening at all with that storm, mica. Just lotttts of wind and rain. The Furry One being slightly deaf now makes a huge difference for when we do have thunder though ![]() I'm taking a chance and washing woollies today. They may have to hang over the bath if the sun disappears. RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 30-07-2025 If anyone wants to watch 2025 The Great British Sewing Bee on line https://hdclump.com/the-great-british-sewing-bee-2025-episode-1/ The 3rd episode aired last night in UK just change the episode number in the link to get to episodes 2 & 3 So over this quilt I am quilting boring and very less than perfect hust want it done now - however probably another couple days to go ![]() RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 31-07-2025 morning ladies ![]() Thanks for the link, mica ![]() Better get organised and put the washing on. It is meant to be fine today, well, so they say. RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 31-07-2025 Morning all Still damp outdoors My morning at warehouse then meeting friends for lunch at our local Cafe Need to do grocery run milk running out. Still quilting so over it and it is far from perfect ![]() Enjoy your day RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 31-07-2025 Morning everyone Still wet up here Have to ask How many times in that 30 years has the Sister in law Moved Kiwimade, so she would have seen it. lol. Local shopping for me which is why Im late. And I dont have to do bloods so even less to do. Will get gas while its 18 cents off tho. Will look and see if anyone knows why the Helicopter was running around town for ages in the early evening.. By the size of the area Id say they were looking for someone. Makes a heck of a noise when its right overhead. Have a fab day all RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 31-07-2025 She was saying they belonged to her even though my mother-in-law had given them to us. She has taken a good chunk of the photos out of the album and kept them. Not going to make a fuss about it but it really pi**es me off. RE: You can never have enough... - Lilith7 - 31-07-2025 i spent the morning at a school production, apparently they don't call thenm concerts now. It was interesting, mainly due to me not having actually seen one for ages & they're very different these days. My two eldest great grandsons were in it so granddaughter took me to se them. The eldest has shot up yet again, he's gaining on me & very pleased about it too. By the time I got home I was exhausted, so won't be doing much more today, except a bit more fiddling about with a painting. RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 31-07-2025 People who cross our boundaries are everywhere and it is immensely frustrating dealing with their complete lack of self awareness. That said, I have to confess, you guys were right. The beautiful braiser is too heavy for me, so I have listed it and with luck it will find a new home, and I will use the money to get something more appropriate from the range. To comfort myself I took the old slow cooker out from under the bench and made a really divine chuck steak chillified casserole which is perfect food for a nasty stormy day. And I have started to embellish the pink jacket, first layer being pieces of patchworked silks which I have tacked into place across the collar and lapels with plans to continue that downone side of the back and front panel. With some three d additions in the form of suffock puffs and vintage buttons and who knows what comes out of my crazy head. And some of the stuff to refurb the hat have also arrived, so just as well the slow cooker has enough sustaining food to keep me fed from now till whenever. If anyone wants me I'll be here, surround by threads and slivers of fabric... The vac will hate me. Not going to make a fuss about it but it really pi**es me off. Perhaps she could be persuaded to photocopy those for you, for the sake of grandchildren... RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 31-07-2025 Sad its too heavy for you Hunnie. I was told today our New world hasn't even got the largest cast iron piece of the Smeg cookware yet.. They are worth $400 each apparently. I doubt Ill get enough stamps to get one since they are 45 stickers AND $60 Im guessing they wont get many at that price unless there is a return option for the store. Oh Kiwimade that sucks re the photos. Id be asking for them so You could get them copied, then Give her the copies.. Tell her you will do the copying to save her money, but not that she wont be getting the originals back. I admit to having my Mother in laws cookbook by a bit of deception. It was given to me, but I thought that it should go to the Eldest son, and all I got was Ohh I cant understand the recipes and it was shoved in a drawer.. So I "borrowed" it back over 25 years ago. I have no intention of giving it back.. I will give it to MrPs niece who I know will treasure it. Lilith I remember when my sisters eldest son out "talled" me. He was 11... and he thought it was sooo funny.. Hes 6'5" now lol. I also told him at that age he would become a chef, I saw him playing with food on the BBQ and thought he had a flair... He is an executive chef now. Special of the day was 4 meals of two gurnard fillets each for $10-43, so $2-60 per meal. They're not massive cos gurnard never is but two fillets per meal is good and no waste. So tonight I had a piece of Orange Roughy. Haven't had that in years and it was huge , thick and blimmin yummy lol.. Will get a price to send a birthday pressie using TM now and then back to painting. RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 01-08-2025 morning ladies ![]() OHH, she won't. She has had a real grudge against me since MrK and I married and it has worsened over the years. I think a lot of it is MrK's and my age difference. The albums are old, dating back to the late 1800's to early 1900's and are the provenance for some furniture and other bits and bobs. It's easier for my sanity not to deal with her. MrK's family has finally 'seen the light' as to what she is like and know not to invite us to anything she is going to. MrK's sister didn't get the memo about the dogs and bought them with her. One has dug a hole in our lawn... sigh. We had a lovely lunch and catch up. His caregiver comes this morning and while she is here, I'll start filling the wheelie bins with garden waste. Coffees finished just as the washing machine has beeped. Time to move. RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 01-08-2025 Morning everyone The chilly is back. But so is the sun.. Madam approves and is sitting in the bedroom in the sun. Yes Im up late lol.. I got up to put a parcel out for the courier, cos if I didn't they would change their time and Id miss then, and promptly went back to sleep for 2 hours lol.. I did have a late night cos I couldn't find my marker pens.. I had one in the drawer with my other bits but its vanished. Ill look later.. And Ill look for the clear tape I know I have lol. Otherwise Ill be painting. Its an odd picture, Hydrangeas but its just like a collage of colour, spinks blues and purples. Its pretty although while doing it you dont really see a picture. Have a fab day everyone RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 01-08-2025 (01-08-2025, 07:39 AM)kiwimade64 Wrote: morning ladies Life is too short for stressing over stupid people km, I am all for a stressfree life. Her loss in the end. It is a gorgeous day here too, though popeye, I am still warm and cosy under my quilts after a burst of energy in the kitchen, my beautiful bed was just too tempting when the cool air started to come in! I have had lots of silly offers on the braiser, and one better one from someone whose feedback suggests he is a reliable trader, so I am seriously considering that one. We shall see... Might get the card games done then I can paint all afternoon. while Im looking for things tho I need to find the sunnies I won from skinny cos while sitting out in the sun is lovely its soo bright and hard on my eyes. I Sort of think I might know where they are lol RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 01-08-2025 And a hat popeye, you need to protect your face and scalp from uv damage. You still being such a spring chooky, lol... But it is a delight, being in a position to laze away a beautiful day in just the way we choose! RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 01-08-2025 Morning all Dull daycraining and cold with stiff southerly breeze. Burst of energy this morning and decided to make some choc chip biscuits and while they cooked I wiped out the drawers amazing how crumbs they get. DD popped in for cup tea and with merino hersey that she wanted the high crew neck on reduced so did that. Then some discussion about when we should have our girls weekend across the ditch. More quilting for me this afternoon. Yep hat and sunscreen Popeye Bought k9 a long lasting chew bar when I did the shop yesterday timed it 5 minutes that not my definition of long lasting. Enjoy your day and keep warm RE: You can never have enough... - Lilith7 - 01-08-2025 Friday funny this week has dave Allen, Danny Bhoy & Billy Connolly. Cold here with rain on & off. Why the hell do we need an FBI office here...?! Bizzare. RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 01-08-2025 Buggared if I know, Lilith. We pretty much said the same thing. Absolutely detest those who suck up to The Orange Clown and wonder if our government is doing this. RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 01-08-2025 Half way quilting quilt -I want it done so I can move on. My dark top covered in fluff. FBI always had presence here now just more overt. |
