RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 02-09-2025 Waves a hand bit ocd here too I think we all on the bell curve somewhere. Sitting in sun with k9 and feline have done the few chores that needed doing. Cleaned up old(1yr) vacuum that drove me nuts its off to local Vinnie this week. RE: You can never have enough... - Zoe jacks - 02-09-2025 Morning everyone Beautiful day in the bay today, pitty I'm stuck in an office. Morning tea time here Miss 13 and I are off to try squash tomorrow afternoon. We both play netball normally but her season has finished and I'm taking a break from indoor so squash it is (will see if we like it) haha Popeye I love your cabinet, the handles look great. Have a great day everyone, hope the fiery creatures have a good one too RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 02-09-2025 lol @ OCD... add me to the group. I like things done in a certain way and my routines. Thames Radiology phoned and we have an appointment for MrK's CT scan next week. A good excuse to have the best fish and chips for lunch ![]() ![]() A bit more weeding has been done, it's not hard as the soil is lovely and soft after all the rain. I've never tried squash, more of an athletics person. Loved long distance running, anything from 1500m to the 10000m. I love the handles, popeye. Perfect for the table. And Antimacaassar comes from anti (against) & oddly enough (!) Macassar, from Macassar oil, a hair tonic which was popular at one time with men to use on their hair, so the antimacaassar protected furniture from bloke's hair oil. I suppose they have to be careful, but when there's one they're in need of you'd think they'd be more onto it. RE: You can never have enough... - GJW - 02-09-2025 I used to donate, a group from work would go annually, once diagnosed with leukemia that came to an abrupt halt. Many years ago one of the nurses, from Nurse Maude, that I had dealings with, died from CJD, very sad, she was living in England for a time. Did not show any symptoms for years after returning home. KM that is beautiful, you are extremely talented. Good news about the scan, once that is done things will move quickly. Popeye that looks lovely, the handles definitely suit that table. Zoe, squash, you must be fit, puts me to shame!!! Right the sun is out, have trimmed one dogs nails, think I will have to hogg tie the other to do his, have handled his feet since he was a pup, but he hates them being touched. Now, outside to clean and polish the car and get it on autotrader, cannot have it sitting here. OHH, those blinds would do my head in as well, they all have to be the same height in this house RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 02-09-2025 Yep the Blinds would annoy me too Hunnie.. Its not hard to level things up. Don't they know they mess with our heads lol.. KM which shop do you get your fish and chips from in Thames? We were planning on going to the one next to Farmers in the main street but a lady in one of the other shops we went in said it had changed hands.. That doesn't surprise me really they were quite senior when I went a couple of years ago. Im not a sports person at all, I used to enjoy swimming when younger but my mother couldn't afford for me to join the club. Did quite well in the school comps tho. Watching my fave is Cricket of course. Didn't find an egg beater, but came home with a snazzy red cushion, a picture frame that will fit one of my pictures. A turntable, always handy. A 3 tier Cake stand plate. Original price was $59-99, from Stevens, I got it for $8. Plain white. I can see it decorated with Christmas stuff on the coffee table. The Calla Lillies on the table are pretty for pretend ones. I actually just ordered more cos the vase isn't full The fridge is sorted yay. So my games and then some painting this afternoon. And Ill actually cook tea. I just want hungry yesterday. This method of clipping dog nails might work.... ![]() ![]() https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sTFvfuqYog8 RE: You can never have enough... - GJW - 02-09-2025 Lilith, I love that, and I will give it a go, before I have a shower, I think it could get messy, last time they were done the vet had to sedate him, got to find a cheaper method. Will let you know the outcome, definitely not going to video it, if he takes a chunk out of my forehead, I will blame you. RE: You can never have enough... - Zoe jacks - 02-09-2025 Love the clip GJW I think a video is in Order lol Kiwi, your work is amazing, your so very talented. Hunni, your jacket a while back was amazing too. I love seeing everyone's projects. GJW I wouldn't say fit haha, I think I'll be complaining and unable to move on Thursday. I coped with indoor netball which some say is fast and full on, but I've done a bit of research on this game they call squash and hmmmmm, I'm kinda regretting my decision......... Time will tell I guess I could never run like KM, or swim like Popeye tho RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 02-09-2025 There is no way I would be game enough to give the Furry One a pedicure... besides, the vet nurse does a wonderful job, and I am happy to pay her to do it. ![]() RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 03-09-2025 Morning everyone Looks sunny out so far. Housie today. although Im in one of those do I want to go out today..... But I know Ill enjoy it when I get there Thankfully Dianne only has a head cold, phew she really doesn't need anything more on top of the cancer etc. I learnt she has to have a blood test the day before each dose of Chemo, so she is coming with me tomorrow. Will probably make it a weekly thing since it will help her and save more running about re Paul and his job too. Anything I can do to help Im happy to do and we get to have fun together. She's coming on the Egg Beater Hunt lol.. We will go into the oppy neither of us have been in in Pukekohe. We never trimmed the dogs claws, but we used to play a water game, on concrete. Using the hose, the dogs chased the water and wore their claws down at the same time. Have a good day all RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 03-09-2025 Morning all Fine day sunny but still cool temps Have fun playing squash Zoe I played for number years only stopped when autoimmune affected my peripheral nerves. DS started playing when he was 9yr old still playing down to B1 now he is getting older. Been to gym off to city this morning to collect DH new glasses we will try out a new to us cafe on waterfront for a coffee Enjoy your day RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 03-09-2025 Management is sending someone to sort out the hole in the roof and do some waterproofing today so that will be another box ticked. Or open another can of worms depending on what he discovers up there. I will be pleased when this saga is over, seeing it has been ongoing since April. But the day looks good for roof work and for scooting so I will be off to Devonport with a bag of goodies for the hospice shop and a bit of supermarketing, before I have to deal with men on ladders... I have my fingers crossed... ![]() ![]() RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 03-09-2025 afternoon ladies ![]() ![]() There is nothing in this world like a Jack Russell greeting when you come home lol. OMG you would think we had been gone for weeks. And he is like this everytime we go out ![]() MrK is catching up with Emmerdale (he loves it, I hate it lol) on demand so I might work a bit on this cross stitch. RE: You can never have enough... - Lilith7 - 03-09-2025 Hope Mr K's next hospital appointments all go as well, KM. Out this morning to get a couple more cushion inners, almost done I think. have decided the grandkids are getting cushions & coffee mugs this Xmas. Still need to come up with ideas for everyone else, & there are still five birthdays (gulp!) before then! Oh joy... Came home & did a bit more weeding along the fence where eventually the tomatoes & runner beans will go, noticed the sage isn't getting enough sun so will have to move it once the weather settles a bit. But two of the raspberry plants I dug up for third eldest granddaughter are showing green buds so that's all good. RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 03-09-2025 Had a lovely time at housie. Im a very slow learner, I got there early so thought I would help out by setting up the tables and chairs,, Sore now of course but I've taken a pain pill, got my unfave perfume on and hotties in place. But I won 6 lines and two houses so the choccie stash has had a boost. Totally understand the terrier Love when you get home. We had two so we learnt quickly to just stand and let them get it over and done with lol. Don't think we tried our dogs on peanut butter... some of them arent good for them now either, its a newish thing, but I cant remember what brand. Made my toad in the whole finally Ohhh yummy... And a repeat for tomorrow. Split Enz is getting back together. Oh I wish my Eldest brother was still alive, he loved them.. And now the Police are having a hissy over royalties for their music. Lilith how many birthdays do you do a year? It must be alot. July August and November are out busiest months. RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 04-09-2025 morning ladies ![]() lol OHH, yes, MrK did enjoy yesterday's episode of Emmerdale. I hear this storyline is going to become darker as days go on. My sister-in-law is popping in this afternoon so might do a bit of baking. We have a ton of lemons so a Madeira loaf will be in order. Popeye, the fish and chip shop we go to in Thames is at the wharf near(ish) the entrance to town. Where all the boats are in dry dock. There's a little fish and chip shop and a cafe next to it with seating for you to enjoy your meal. They also sell fresh fish. Not much else is happening in our neck of the woods, just plodding along ![]() |
