Ill go and do the shopping this morning.. Cross all ya fingers that its fine when I load the car at the shop. and at home, although it will come through the window, but the boot will still get rain probably... The bathroom window is wet again, on the inside.

Ive decided to put my name back on the Kianga Ora list again.. I love this house but I dont wish to be standing in the shower when the wall falls off. And the landlord isnt concerned about it.

Hi Popeye

If you have louvres that are draughty or leaking water then your house isn't healthy homes compliant. It's not about whether the landlord cares, but whether you do. The wall will take a long time to be at risk of falling off, but your power consumption on using your bathroom fan all the time to keep mould at bay could become annoying and isn't necessary. If the landlord doesn't respond to a direct request to fix the problem then your next course of action is a 14 day notice. Of course that runs the risk of your relationship with the landlord becoming less friendly, but they are supposed to be providing you with a safe dry home. If you keep your communication professional then hopefully they will too. All the info you need is at https://www.tenancy.govt.nz.

She has said that I will get a new window but it wont be until next year...   Its wet again on the shelf of the window this morning. 

That reminds me I need to bung something in the gap by the vanity too I can be sitting on the loo watching the towel move in the wind. 

She did the healthy home thing and said it had passed.. Would there have to be paper work on that? 

Ohh love it Hunnie will look it up soon. 

Did the groceries. Decided Ill go to the garage sale next year. Cant afford to get sick at the mo, my surgery comes first. 

Did get my groceries so that's done. I've been buying extras so when I cant drive I wont have to rely on others. 

KM our home had 3 cats but they had a "care" dog I suppose you would call her. She was a golden retriever, Shanti her name was.  Maybe there is a room where you could be with the furry one safe and sound. 

Funny cos as I was leaving this morning there was a lady walking two retrievers passed, which were beautiful and reminded me of Shanti.

I certainly didn't see a wad of papers.  It could be in one set of drawers that used to sit beside my chair so I will look for that in the coming days.

The sun is out, so Missy is shooting the rays in the bedroom.  I've got washing on which can go outside yay.  We woke late but it was a lateish night watching the cricket.

Housework today here too since Ive had two busy weeks.

Sounds like the home MrK is in, is a good one KM.. Funny you should mention the young man vacuuming. One of the two at the first home MrP was in was lovely. The second would say hello but not much else. She worked without taking home her wages. They saved them for her and she used them to go to Australia once a year to see family.

The arborist has been and tidied up the feijoa hedge on my northern boundary, and it is a joy to look out there at the perfect squared off edges with the wild foliage of first broadleafed natives and then the horrible bamboo behind it, the contrast is just plain lovely.

Check out the Tenancy Services website popeye, it's part of MBIE, and yes you can speak to them for advice without them doing anything unless you want them too. I did when I had a very dodgy landlord and took her to court, they were very helpful all the way through.
