He's apparently cleared of the misbehaviour while at Uni. Interesting that they're not going to release the report.

"Tauranga MP Sam Uffindell has been welcomed back to the National Party, after it was revealed he attacked a younger student at high school and then faced claims of bullying as a university student.
An investigation into those claims did not substantiate reports he was a bully after leaving high school, National Party president Sylvia Wood says.
National leader Christopher Luxon said Uffindell had been reinstated into the caucus.
Wood said the party would not release details of the report. She said lawyer Maria Dew interviewed 14 people in her investigation, and read “a number of written statements”. They would not say if the majority of the interviews related to either his time at King’s College, or at Otago University.Wood said the investigation "did not substantiate any allegations of bullying outside of Sam's time at King's College".
Uffindell said the investigation effectively “cleared” his name, and he was now focused on rebuilding after his controversial start as an MP."

At least there was an enquiry into the bullying accusations. He was stood down while it was investigated.
What happened at the Labour side? The person reporting the bullying was run out of town. No investigation. No report.

But my statement stands. National did the enquiry. OK they didn't release it and were clear they werent going to from the start. But Labour didn't bother at all with any enquiry into CURRENT claims of bullying - something that occured last year not 22 years ago. They were the ones who claimed they wanted to be "the most transparent government ever" and then proceeded to be anything but.

The fact that the daughter said she first went to the library then to a friend's house shows that 19 years later even she can't remember exactly what occured. That doent make her a liar - it just shows one of the reasons why eyewitnesses are not often reliable. People remember differently the same events and in some cases insert things they believe happened. That situation gets worse as the time between the event and the retelling gets longer.
