Actress Kirstie Alley dead at 71 - Oldfellah - 06-12-2022 Actress Kirstie Alley, a star in both television and film, has died after a short battle with cancer at age 71. Alley shot to fame in the TV comedy Cheers, set in a Boston bar, going on to have starring film roles in Look Who’s Talking and Star Trek II. Damn!!! Everyone is dying. It was a launching pad for the careers of numerous stars, Ted Danson, Rhea Perlman, Kelsey Grammer, Woody Harrelson, Shelley Long, and of course Kirstie Alley. How can it possibly have been the nineties?? That seems so long ago now. It was good though, I wish they'd re run some of the really good old ones from around that time. RE: Actress Kirstie Alley dead at 71 - Zurdo - 06-12-2022 I didn't have a TV in the '80's and '90's - I was obviously filling my mind with shit other than what was on TV. To quote Frank Zappa...from 1973. I am gross and perverted I'm obsessed 'n deranged I have existed for years But very little had changed I am the tool of the Government And industry too For I am destined to rule And regulate you I may be vile and pernicious But you can't look away I make you think I'm delicious With the stuff that I say I am the best you can get Have you guessed me yet? I am the slime oozin' out From your TV set You will obey me while I lead you And eat the garbage that I feed you Until the day that we don't need you Don't go for help...no one will heed you Your mind is totally controlled It has been stuffed into my mold And you will do as you are told Until the rights to you are sold That's right, folks.. Don't touch that dial RE: Actress Kirstie Alley dead at 71 - harm_less - 06-12-2022 Loving your tastes in music there Zurdo Overnight Sensation was one of my first (of many) Zappa albums. RE: Actress Kirstie Alley dead at 71 - Zurdo - 06-12-2022 Listening to that again after all these years, it's also very much like Alice Cooper. Frank ''discovered'' Alice Cooper when he saw them empty a theater, and signed them. |
