Email notification of replies? - Agent_24 - 25-12-2022
Is anyone else subscribed to threads on this forum, with email notifications turned on - and actually getting them?
I am not - and they're not going into spam, either.

not had any failed deliveries since end of october according to the mybb email log
but having said that, there was a new thread in computing yesterday that i am subscribed to and I didn't receive an email about it...

have you checked the bulk mail / spam folder on https://webmail.xtra.co.nz
if you use an email client with the POP protocol you may not be seeing any messages that spark deem to be junk, POP only retrieves from the inbox of the server...

Of course. I wasn't on the original PressF1 forum for over 18 years for nothing
I did do an email search though and found I have some notification emails for a couple of threads, but they were only for threads NOT in this new PressF1 sub-forum. Maybe this one has a configuration problem or something?
That could explain why you have no delivery failure messages - maybe it's not trying to send them in the first place.
(To clarify, the only notification emails I did receive were from the 15th to 22nd of October 2022. Nothing else since then actually, for any subscribed threads)

for the forums, top right below the post thread button
for individual threads the option is in the LHS menu below the quick reply box

I believe I can confirm this issue, checking back through my email suggests the last time I had a subscribed thread email was 28/10. I'm picking it was the same time we applied the last system update... I've sent nzoomed an email about it

In the Default theme -- another way To Subscribe to the Whole Forum Section as well, ( Eg: go to Press F1) Top Right click where it says subscribe to This forum - (Mine says Unsubscribe because I'm already subscribed)

You can also set your profile to default to an email subscription for threads you create/post in.
