Caroma Toilet Cistern - Galaxy01 - 02-02-2023
Anyone knows how to adjust the water level of this Caroma Cistern?
It's different from those older ones with a float valve where I can just adjust it with a screw driver, so easy.

probably not much help but if you jump on youtube there are a bunch of videos about adjusting water levels - seems to be quite a few different types of them...

Water is over-flowing .. a bit too high. Need to bring it down a little.

Change the washer in the top part of the valve shut-off, if it's like the one we have which is an older model then if it doesn't completely stop the flow the level keeps rising until it overflows.
It's quite a large flat floppy disk, Mitre 10 generally has them and can give advice on what may be the problem if you find the right person. That model you have shown is in advance of my knowledge.

a plumber I knew, when referring to the newer (4l full 2l half flush ) cisterns, said they don't always cope so well with "Man sized poos" - double flush might be required...

It has occurred following plumbing work which has resulted in air getting to the pipes. That has caused sediment to be disturbed and bits of grit getting stuck in the valve system in the cistern. Running on after the cistern is full was the result.
Simple reason.
We're rural and on tank water so if you're in a similar situation or have had plumbing work done recently maybe worth pulling the mechanism to bits and checking for debris.
