Otherwise, I came across this Paywall filter list which can be added to adblockers. I use Ublock Origin and seems to work OK, pretty sure these are standardised filter lists. In NZ it mainly includes the NZ Harold
website specifically plus some overseas ones... The website needs to be specifically supported.Filter list URL is here.

To add it you need to open your adblockers settings, go to the "filter Lists" tab, and at the bottom of that page tick "Import"... Paste the address above...
use CTRL F5 to reload any open articles...
