I have it on my tablet as an alternative when the device and Chrome decide to censor my website choices, which used to happen occasionally before I did a close check of my settings. The tablet is a refurbished one from Reebelo, and while I am very happy with it, especially pricewise, it came with a few quirks that took a while to iron out. Including one that suggests it has an after market screen - the touch sensitivity can vary a bit...
So firefox still has its uses, I'm just more conditioned to Chrome these days.

The info on Librewolf in the link looks interesting. What's your take on it, and as it's a Firefox "fork" does that mean it will cease if Firefox does?

I've been using Firefox since Netscape became so out of date that I had to find a substitute.
I always use a portable version of Firefox E.S.R. (Extended Service Release) these days, flexible and easy to backup.
Here's a list of Add-ons/Extensions I am using now, used to have many more but browser slowed down, not sure why but think it was a couple of extensions causing the problem not just the sheer number, can't believe how fast and slick it is at the moment:

Librewolf indeed looks a good browser.
After seeing the google lawsuit over them harvesting peoples data, (see https://www.bbc.com/news/business-67838384) I think alternatives to Chrome, Edge and anything else by big tech will rise in popularity. If anything, having competition or forks to firefox will force their devs to innovate further.
The key is getting the masses to adopt alternatives, most people are oblivious and use what's convenient.
Chrome adopted fast simply because google was nagging everyone to download chrome without even understanding what it is, so many people I see dont even know the difference between what a browser is and what google is.
We are in the same situation where we were at the end of the 90s where IE stripped netscapes marketshare, quite a shame, because initially Firefox was quickly becoming the dominant browser until Google introduced Chrome.
Palemoon is another popular fork of firefox to check out which was based on their older version which was more compatible with the existing extentions.

Very Rarely use Firefox these days, I mainly use Edge ( which is built on top of Chrome anyway) or the main Browser is Brave. Brave shows some interesting stats on its home page, which you can disable if you want. The stats shown are only the Office Computer not the lounge or workshop PC's
Edited: adding to above, just had a look at librewolf, then found a comparison test.
Interesting, seems Brave is even better than Librewolf. ??? Then again theres always TOR ( relating to Browsers) -- but may be best not to go that way.

I like trying out add-ons, only a few are really necessary except for uBlock Origin which Google will stop you using on uTube very soon if you are on Chrome.

Theres a "addon" trying on Brave, while it isn't actually a Blocker it "Fast forwards" any ad's, a normal add will play on youtube but its so fast it is unnoticeable, it fast forwards the ad, it takes around 50 milliseconds to play the ad, blink and you'll miss it. Its still in development but works great in Brave.

Of course I still use Firefox (and its derivatives), what else are you going to use to block all the stupid advertising?
Google has made it clear they want to prevent adblocker extensions working in the future on Chrome, and since everything aside from Firefox is based on Chrome now, the choice is obvious.

Was reading this article earlier.
I dont use adblock, so have not noticed anything, i only use ublock origin.

But if things really get out of hand, I think I will be installing a pihole and block all advertising traffic in the whole home, that way, in theory chrome or whatever browser you use should not be able to tell, since no adblocker is required to be installed on the PC.
