Subscribing to Forums & Threads - email notifications. - king1 - 09-02-2024

As part of the TMMB message board, users have the option to subscribe to specific Forums and/or Threads that interest them.  When subscribed you will receive an email to your registered address when a new post occurs or a new thread is started. Other events will trigger an email as well.

Examples
  1. New threads in Subscribed forums.
  2. New replies in Subscribed threads.
  3. When you receive a personal message (PM)

Adding Subscriptions 
  • Forums: Subscribe and unsubscribe to a particular forum at the top of each forum page.
  • Threads: While posting, subscribe to a thread when posting or replying (full), below the editor, look for Thread Subscription
  • Threads:  Without posting, use the Subscribe to this thread link below the Quick Reply editor on the left.

Manage Subscriptions

The best place to manage subscriptions is in the User Control Panel HERE - on the left side bar. 
  • Forum Subscriptions: towards the bottom - For each, you can control the notification type and unsubscribe if required
  • Subscribed Threads: towards the bottom - For each, you can control the notification type and unsubscribe if required
  • Edit Options:  For PMs, tick or untick Notify me by email when I receive a new Private Message

This is now something we will need to test again with the new mail server.
I dont believe it was ever fully working with Contabo, so hopefully its now more reliable.

I'm getting all the ones i'm currently subscribed to just fine..

OK sweet, its been a while since Ive used it but I remember there were some problems a while back.
