Popeyes chicken launches in NZ - nzoomed - 30-04-2024

Don't know much about the brand, but sounds like it's much better than KFC.
Hopefully KFC up the game now that there is some competition, their quality has dropped immensely in recent years.

I haven't had KFC for several years but I had to laugh when I saw their last advert  - they must have got the chicken pieces from Popeyes.   The chicken we had seemed to have been soaked in cooking oil or fat for an hour or so

lol, that used to be quite common with KFC.
It typically happens when its been taken straight out of the fryer without being left to drip all the fat away.

Popeye's has forced a name change for a business here which has had that name for 30 odd years.

They should call it Formerly Popeye's takeaways...
