All may not be lost & the far right may yet be defeated. Its a narrow margin but several centre left parties which formed a coalition have drawn slightly ahead of Marine Le Pen's party.

I woke up to an email from an old friend who lives in Seattle, celebrating the continued return to commonsense in France. He's a Pom, hence the 'continued' bit.
He has everything crossed for his adopted nation, but limited confidence.
