We may eventually end up living on the alps; what's left of them. RE: An unusual shift in the weather has turned the Sahara green - zqwerty - 10-10-2024 This is what a 15 foot hurricane storm surge looks like. It's terrifying. https://v.redd.it/7mrig5pbattd1 RE: An unusual shift in the weather has turned the Sahara green - Lilith7 - 11-10-2024 Hope everyone got the hell out.. RE: An unusual shift in the weather has turned the Sahara green - zqwerty - 11-10-2024 Things don't seem as bad as they could have been, those unexpected tornadoes killed a few people and more did die but it looks as if the storm was much reduced after landfall. I think people have turned around and are heading back to the houses they abandoned. RE: An unusual shift in the weather has turned the Sahara green - C_T_Russell - 17-10-2024 Well isn't this a positive thing? The Sahara desert going green and people complaining? You can't make this shit up! And let's all blame this on global warming top along with everything else that's going on! Firstly there are massive tree planting efforts going on there in an effort to stop the desert expanding south. These trees are going to love all that water. Secondly, all that dry soil won't absorb all that water at once, so of course it will flood. I hope this trend in the weather continues, we might see rainforest return to that part of the continent which will only be a good thing. That thing that takes hundreds of years to grow that people can burn down in days to make room for mines and cattle farming? That rainforest? |
