The award was last year in the Kings Birthday Honours List, but didn't get a lot of press here at the time. Possibly because of the continued campaign of negativity fostered by the jealous souls here, that continues today. Such as the feelings - misogynistic at best, clearly expressed in this article...

The actual investiture ceremony was held this week. Probably delayed because she has so many overseas obligations these days - and the chance to have William do it, as they are good friends - made it even more special for her.

Yes I see now.
The prevailing attitude amongst the powers that be is seemingly that a few old people dying of Covid each week doesn't matter as long as economic activity is the priority and the majority of the population doesn't care either way, if they even think about it, even though thousands died in other countries who maintained these beliefs through the Pandemic instead of doing what Jacinda urged us to do.

But that has always been the case. The world is still run by the same people, with the same motivations and the same agendas. The trick, I think, is to accept that fact, and go dark - undermine it by doing your own thing without fuss but with intent.
Like not buying from Temu. Or making any other loaded purchasing choice. Like knowing our rights and insisting on them. Like not answering the phone unless we want to, and being kind when we can and when it suits us.

Yes that is who I am, a dark horse, so my mother said. Except that I try to be philosophical rather than reactionary.

I know the idiots who have been running the world and who have brought us to the point of no return through global warming have always been the same but when people like Jacinda come along and show us the way, we should be learning and take appropriate steps, but in this case very few seemed to have learned they just want to carry on as normal gathering money.
