Misplaced downloaded images. Where can they be? - Still PeterEsp - 05-11-2024 I have Win-10 22H2. I intended to copy some images from my Samsung phone to computer, as I have done many times in the past. I selected about 30 thumbnails with the intention to drag and drop to my intended picture folder, but, before I could select the intended destination, the images were downloaded to somewhere else, but I don’t know where to. Even my existing desktop image was changed to one of these new downloaded images. I’ve looked in C:\Windows\Web but they are not there. Where could these images be downloaded to? Thanks in advance, Peter. RE: Misplaced downloaded images. Where can they be? - Wainuitech - 05-11-2024 Try looking in the Pictures Folder. If not there, look in One Drive. OR If you can look on your phone and find a Pictures Number, then from search ( bottom Left next to start) Search for that number. RE: Misplaced downloaded images. Where can they be? - king1 - 05-11-2024 often times if the drag and drop fails its usually because they have been dropped inadvertently, often times into a folder either side of the source or target folder RE: Misplaced downloaded images. I did try searching my PC for the Picture number used on the phone. No luck. RE: Misplaced downloaded images. Where can they be? - Wainuitech - 09-11-2024 It's a bit of a long shot, but get a photo you don't care if it's lost, see if you can click it, and repeat what you did before, see if it gives any indication as to where they went. You can also try this esp if the current desktop is still one of the pictures. Open one ( or both) of the following locations: Path 1 %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\CachedFiles Path 2 - %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\TranscodedWallpaper Or even in the recycle bin ( but I doubt it) |
