That US healthcare 'manifesto'... - Oh_hunnihunni - 12-12-2024 The man charged with the killing of the health industry boss is being called a Marxist because he published a manifesto. It is here, if you would like to read it and decide for yourself, if this is 'Marxist'. Yes they need a pool of money to fund many surgeries, but how much surplus are they getting and how much makes its way back to shareholders and/or the board? Sounds like this CEO was getting quite a big pay packet. Such a company shouldn't even be there for profit and be publicly traded, should be more of a similar model to Southern Cross. RE: That US healthcare 'manifesto'... - Oh_hunnihunni - 12-12-2024 Estimated that this company could fund all Americans cancer treatment and still make an extraordinary profit for shareholders. Seriously corrupt system. And our ACC uses American hmo definitions... To put human life & suffering above making massive profit -or even any profit other than minimal, doesn't seem so very terrible. And that manifesto isn't even slightly 'marxist' fgs. But I don't doubt that is exactly what it will be called... RE: That US healthcare 'manifesto'... - zqwerty - 13-12-2024 The market place rules which means no rules at all and the governments are no where to be found, certainly not regulating and governing, the Corporates form unregulated monopolies and rip us all off.
