I think most of us would like to see their hope come to fruition, & would love to see peace break out there, rather than war. They've surely got enough to do, fixing their broken country.

I think there is lots of factionalism, historical foes even in just their own country, the Kurds for instance.

Interesting article about the uncertain future for Syrian refugees now in Turkey and also Turkey if they decide to head back to their homeland en masse. There are 3 million Syrians living in Turkey currently who contribute to Turkey's economy by way of cheap labour and manufacturing. Turkey would see a rise in inflation if they were to leave, and many of those Syrians have now made it a permanent home and are also suspicious of the new leadership in Syria.

You really have to feel for them; at this early stage they can't be sure which is the best option, to say or to go.
