Quote of the year; Luxon in running - Lilith7 - 15-12-2024 The quote which shows clearly just how thoroughly out of touch our glorious leader is, is in the running for quote of the year. He's so out of touch with Aotearoa I think you're right. Possibly his advisers and minders might get it, but after all there's the marketing tenet that all publicity is good and name recognition, no matter how demeaning or sarcastic, is always a win. Best example I can think of is that apparently letterbox junk mail, even if thrown straight into the bin, has a benefit in that the name or the livery of the advertiser becomes a fraction more familiar. RE: Quote of the year; Luxon in running - zqwerty - 16-12-2024 The National Party Nirvana, mindless competition for all of us for all our lives with only a few reaching the Zenith that Luxon has attained, no experience or wisdom gained just winning a battle only a few will be able to achieve and the resources aren't there for everyone, what a wonderful solution the National Party is offering to our lives, and endless rat race for all but a few. I suspect that you're right - but what a bleak & meaningless system that is. Little mice going round & round on a wheel to absolutely no purpose, other than keeping occupied. And one of the worst aspects of it is that those who manage to achieve wealth either will not, or cannot, even begin to comprehend that. We're a weird species. |
