CCleaner Free V 6.33 - Neil F - 20-03-2025
I am Win 11 64 bit V 24H2 fully updated.
A few weeks back using FilePuma CCleaner Free I downloaded V 6.33.11465 to replace V6.32.
It rarely works as before. I get past "Close Browser " Do you want to force it to close? I click yes. Goes to Start Scanning but progress bar stays blank and almost immediately I am thrown out of CCleaner back to Win Explorer.
I tried redownloading installing (after a Full Revo Uninstallation). It worked once then returned to the above problem. i then tried Properties Compatibility ran that -worked once then reverted to flashes back to Win Explorer.
I keep hoping for a notification "we screwed up " Install latest Version" which presumably will be V6.34. No such notification from Piriform.
In interim I have kept using Glary Utilities Free and also tried MSoft PC Manager . The latter seems to focus more on Speed Boosts rather than housekeeping -clearing temp files etc.
Any ideas?

for housekeeping / clearing temps just use built in disk cleanup, from the run dialogue - cleanmgr
more and more I feel all the other stuff is just unnecessary these days

Never had any real problems apart from sometimes during updates it wants to install Some sort of Their Rubbish, ALWAYS click Decline anyway.
The Latest version is 6.34.11482
Sometimes if a program plays up you have to fully uninstall it before reinstalling, I use Revo Uninstaller (Free) in advanced mode, this lets you remove the registry Keys and left over folders as well.
I do find Ccleaner gets more than the inbuilt Microsoft Cleaner, especially temp files.

I was a few hours too early. The next morning after my post V 6.34 became available so I installed that and so far CCleaner is working as expected. Like you ,Wainui I always click Decline to avoid their rubbish.
