Smart TV Dongle - driftwood - 17-04-2025 Our bedroom TV was using one of the Freeview Decoders that is now defunct. Rather than buy another decoder I was wondering about going the other way. SmartVU SV11HD Android TV Dongle, with Netflix, Freeview Streaming TV, and more. Anyone had any experience with, or could recommend something similar. RE: Smart TV Dongle - king1 - 17-04-2025 haven't used that one but i have setup a couple of console dish tvs for clients in the past - they seem to like them OK. and Dish TV have been around forever so they must be doing something right... Was the old one with an aerial connection that you want to retain? If not, I’d get a google tv. Little white thing. Has chromecast ability if you want, but also a remote and apps. Just means I have to use my android tablet as a remote. The TV doesn't get much use anyway.
