You could participate in a discussion or just engage in whataboutism. I see you made your call in that regard.

Oh, I have so been looking forward to you tooting on that particular racist trope... Which is, I must point out a bit of a habit of yours...

Please google the name Ashton Cresswell, and pay close attention to the images of that beautiful fair skinned, blond headed little boy...

It isn't just Maori who have issues with parenting. And to think so many of us have been calling for parenting classes in schools for decades... Tongue

But that would make sense...

As would teaching kids basic budgeting, gardening & cooking.

Can't read stuff that has a paywall, but I agree, we kill way too many children, and way too many women in this country. Thing is, those crimes have common threads, poverty, mental health issues, intergenerational trauma, history of violence, educational deprivation, inadequate housing - and until we have a government that focuses on those major issues we will continue to see the results piling up around us.

And even then, there is a pretty good chance we will continue to see lives lost through donestic violence, because believe me, child killing is domestic violence, it's just easier to target a child than a woman. You see, the number one root cause of domestic violence in the gender of the perpetrator. Even in that holiest of holies when it comes to great governance - Finland, a huge chunk of the population experience domestic violence. In fact, most countries around the world have appalling statistics when it comes to intimate bullying, physical abuse, murderous rages, and serious criminal assault.

And most of it is done by men.
