Now that is a truly wonderful thing. Smile

It's almost worth considering a move across the ditch, and I am partial to a drop of Barossa Shiraz  Tongue Though last time I was in that area it was 42C plus so maybe not.

My daughter in Perth has just sent me a photo of a Highland cow. And tells me she is getting one for their place, to join the sheep, and chooks, and cats, and dogs, and kids... "If he can have a digger, I get a cow!" she tells me... He may regret letting her talk him into a country place, lol...

Well done the Aussies! Smile

Excellent move. I hope they've made it watertight so no devious b'stards can get around it.

How soon can we expect our delightful govt to follow suit....? Rolleyes

Fair enough, I'm quite partial to Highland cows. Must be due to the highlander ancestry...but they look so gorgeous who could resist them.

Perhaps she may need two, in case one gets lonely... Rolleyes Big Grin

Oz does have a great deal to recommend it.

But for me, this land is in my bones.

Youngest grandson & his partner moved to Brisbane earlier this year, they love it.

I'm waiting for their summer to kick in - apparently it gets extremely hot there. With humidity, too.... Rolleyes

Surely we can also do this.

It seems like a great idea until you consider the fact that donations are being "replaced" by public funding to be dished out in proportion to the results of the last election. So it entrenches the status quo in terms of who has a political voice, and ensures that it is only the big boys that have any chance of getting useful levels of funding. And it pretty much makes any new grassroots movement completely impossible.

RE: South Australia - king1 - 09-07-2025

it will be interesting to see how that plays out over time...

Then that would be something they'd have to fix, surely.

We'll see how it goes; I suspect people may be fairly pithed off if they don't change that. And vote accordingly.

What the hell is wrong with our species that we can't or won't, come up with a way which is as fair as possibe to all of us...
