Dynamic DNS over starlink - nzoomed - 19-09-2025 Anyone done this? Looks like it uses CG-NAT on IPV4, but apparently you can set it up over IPV6 instead. Im working on a remote site that im upgrading to starlink and need to get some cameras and other equipment running with their existing port forwards. Im also considering other options such as a VPN or zerotier RE: Dynamic DNS over starlink - king1 - 19-09-2025 no i've always had a static IP address, but I use dynu.com as dynamic dns and they do have a IPV6 option shown in their portal. free for up to four subdomains i believe Have also used Zerotier as well, wee bit of a learning curve and a bit more involved in setting that up ... Another you might consider is Radmin VPN, which is much like the old Hamachi - also free RE: Dynamic DNS over starlink - nzoomed - 19-09-2025 (5 hours ago)king1 Wrote: no i've always had a static IP address, but I use dynu.com as dynamic dns and they do have a IPV6 option shown in their portal. free for up to four subdomains i believe The router itself has the DDNS entry currently added through dyndns.org, I will need to get access to the account to see if their portal allows ipv6. I know that no-ip.org supports ipv6, but have never used it before. Im wondering if we will need to upgrade to a better router at the same time, its just a spark router, but for testing purposes Im keen to give it a go first. RE: Dynamic DNS over starlink - king1 - 19-09-2025 yeah i don't think i've seen dynu as an option in routers, not in the tplink ones i use at least |
