Spring is for Magnolias - harm_less - 21-09-2025

Our magnolias are putting on their best display ATM. Not the sunniest of days but decided to get some photos before the forecast gales do a number on them. Look closely at the 3rd photo and you'll see a kereru with similar thoughts  Tongue

It's one of a pair. The other one looks to still be a few weeks off blooming. Less flamboyant that the reds, pinks and whites but they put on a nice display none the less with a BIG Turkish Oak nearby that contrasts nicely when it comes into leaf.

They are beautiful. Most of ours got burned by the late frosts, particularly Vulcan and Starwars; our new yellow one (Honey Tulip) hasn't flowered at all, perhaps it is too young.
