He was appointed an officer of the NZ order of Merit for services to psychology.

I attended an internet safety presentation by Nigel a couple of years back. Common sense advice supported by often humourous annecdotes. Nigel was a beam of sunshine in an increasingly negative world. He will be sorely missed.

Yes he was really good value, managed to get the message across with humour rather than sounding preachy. We could do with more like him.
