Fascists have always been there CT, so antifascists likewise... Antifa doesn't actually exist. There is no such official group. It's an attitude, a position, a preference, potentially a rather looney one, like being anticlimate change.
It really only becomes real when it is acted upon, as in the 1936-39 Spanish Civil War, which overthrew the Republicans... Which might explain why some Americans, among others, are a bit confused about what being antifascist is all about.

It came out of black lives matter, George Floyd was brutally killed by a cop, but became a subject of racism rather than police brutality.
