RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 28-11-2022

Anyone know what to do with a automatic door remote that keeps protesting about working? We are a clever lot in here lol.

Well it was an interesting Morning.. MrP was in a foul mood, I was warned as I walked down the hall lol.. First thing out of his mouth was that he was going to have a go at the Dr. And he bit my head off for telling him he was being a rude pig.
Told me to leave, so I did.

I went and did exercises in the lounge then sat in on a Painting Lesson from grant Sharman. He knows how to teach and everyone loved it... I didnt paint, but he sat at our table and painted a rose. Then Young Peter who was at our table and did an abstract not flowers like everyone else was given the painting Grant did. he goes at it with speed and it looks totally uncomfortable but amazing too.

And I came home and have done the lawn. Had 2 spits of rain and I thought Noo just hold off a little longer.. And it did. I havent done the edges tho. Cos I have to refill the bobbin and Ill bring it in here to go it. With Fresh fingers..

Time to catch up on the games

Sounds like you need a new battery in the remote, popeye.

I've slept most of the afternoon with the Furry One snuggled up with me. He knows I'm sick and hasn't left my side all day Heart Just wish my nose would stop running. BUT I am very grateful for having all the vaccinations, it could be a lot, lot, worse.

Thanks KM..

Ill get my trusty little set of screw drivers out tomorrow and have a look into it. Its amazing how very quickly I got used to having it.
Our previous place I used to have to put it up and down myself, thank god it was only a single door. The one here is double.

Our Babies know when we are not well..

RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 29-11-2022

morning ladies Smile It's very still outside, nice not to have the wind for a bit.

Another day with the bug and a runny nose. I didn't feel like doing much yesterday so let's see what today brings. I think though I have gone from feeling like I have bad flu to a bad head cold so that must be an improvement! We will do another RATS soon.

This morning I need to chase up a Christmas gift I bought online again. She said it would be posted but still no joy. I don't like leaving bad reviews but at this stage it might be my only option.

Happy crafting Smile

Good morning.

Nice and sunny outside.

Good to hear you are hopefully over the worst KM. I tested positive on day 5 after DH, we didn't isolate from each other. It shows how "catchy" it is with you being a mask wearer! Good luck with the trader, but it does seem some courier deliveries are taking ages at present.

I have the new little family visiting today.  I may get in some baby minding while mum rests and dad does a few jobs  Heart

Enjoy the day all.

Morning all
Overcast and windy here

KM our k9 friends are good company when we are not well hope you continue to improve.

No sewing yesterday  had successful meeting.

Off to gluten free cafe this morning with gf friend. The cafe make wonderful  cream and jam filled donut, my glutinous mates also like them as they say they can't tell they are gf. I like going to this cafe as I don't have to ask questions about ingredients food handling etc.

Need to write a report later before I can go down to sewing cave nothing like self inflicted rules Big Grin

Got to move

Enjoy your day

RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 29-11-2022

Morning everyone

Very still here too and the sun has just gone into hiding.

Glad you are having a better day KM.. Its not something ever wants, well apart from my Aussie friend lol, so I hope you recover quickly. How is MrKs tests?

Im still in shock. MrP apologized last night. His rash has travelled right up his legs to his nether regions. And its driving him potty. Apparently the normal DR is taking another one with him this morning.

Thats twice in the last few weeks that he has apologized.. ever..

A quiet day for me today to let the bones recover. And I was up late last night.

I heard from the property manager and she is getting someone in to get a quote to trim all the yukkas and trees. Yay. And I have an inspection on the 7th. Thank goodness Im a tidy one so its just a normal clean. I want to attack the Rangehood. Me being the "Shorty" of the family I will have to stand on the little step thingee we have. But I still dont feel safe. But it needs doing.

Have a fab day everyone

OHH I hope you are doing ok...

Not sure if anyone remembers James from the tbmb... Its his birthday today. He was famous for his Burnt dinners on Crown Lynn China dinner plate, the Autum picture on it.

He may be gone but will never be forgotten. He was such a funny man

RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 29-11-2022

Kettles on for a cuppa Smile  My throat isn't as sore as yesterday, so I think I'm winning.  MrK is making me a new jewelry box from recycled rimu for Christmas.  The grain is just gorgeous.  Heart

The washing is out, and the bins brought in.  I've emptied the wheelbarrow of garden waste and some concrete fill into the bins.  That's enough for me today, so frustrating.

I remember James and his plates of burnt food lol.

RE: You can never have enough... - Roma - 29-11-2022

Pace yourself KM, it knocks the stuffing out of you! Nice to have the sun shining anyway  Smile

RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 29-11-2022

Still sniffley here, but only that so I am not worried. We have contractors here (again!) putting membranes on the ground under our units. Much activity and noise, so we are staying inside. It is cool too, so not a hardship.

I have enquired about a cat up for adoption, not letting myself hope or get excited until I get much further into the process, but I have decided I need a companion for my own mental health. So we shall see...

RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 29-11-2022

OHH I can only imagine the noise.

Yes a furr baby is good for the head and heart. And there's so many out there to love.

Im only just thawing out too, so pleased that its not just me. Im thinking its 2 days to summer and I have a cardy on again.

RE: You can never have enough... - Lilith7 - 29-11-2022

Good to hear that you're a bit better KM.

And good luck finding a furry fiend/friend Hunni. Smile

I recently had to chase up a trade which hadn't arrived after 30 0dd days & wouldn't you know it, the damn thing turned up the very next day! Slightly bent packaging so perhaps had got stuck under something; luckily the trader was OK about it.
So far today have done the dreaded shopping & managed a bit more weeding, nowhere near as much as I wanted to but then I'm not apparently not 25 any more, dammit.

RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 29-11-2022

I have been ticked off by my sister-in-law for doing those few things this morning. She's a nurse and she told me to rest, rest, rest and she would check up on me lol. I think a two hour nap this afternoon qualifies as rest! You are right, roma, it does knock the stuffing out of you!

Fingers and everything crossed for your new Princess, OHH Heart Our furry friends sure are good for the soul.

RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 29-11-2022

I think I might have found one... Keep all metaphorical digits crossed for me...

And yes, rest is vital KM, to stave off long covid.

RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 29-11-2022

Absolutely rest Kiwimade.

My Aussie friend who wanted Covid is now understanding that it's not a good idea. She is suffering from fatigue badly. But in saying that she won't stay home, so I've warned her that's what she needs to do, just like with Shingles, and then she will improve.
But Im afraid I've given up on telling her now. Shes nearly 50 and should know what needs to be done.. Maybe its cos of where she was Born lol.

Everything crossed for you OHH.

She's lovely, looks like a black tortoiseshell in the photo. I had one years ago, & she was one of the most intelligent cats I've ever had.

Everything crossed she gets you. Smile

Oh She is Lovely and sounds Purrfect for you OHH..

Believe it or not Missy's sister is a black tortie , just like Cindy. Actually when I saw it I thought it was Sahree, as she is called.
Sahree cried in the car soo loudly and from her soul deep and loud. Ive never heard a cat like it. Thankfully Missy doesnt.

Fingers crossed

morning ladies Smile OMGGG that puss looks just like Raisin, my sister-in-law's cat, now long gone Heart What a sweetheart she was too. Fingers, toes and everything I can cross is crossed for you OHH.

This morning we can't see the Kaimai Ranges because of rain clouds so it's going to be 'one of those days'.

My RATS test took longer to develop and is a lot paler than previous tests so I'm definitely winning. I'm feeling a lot better even compared to yesterday, today. MrK is still negative. Once again, thank goodness for vaccinations.

I phoned the trader yesterday and yes, the tea I ordered was sent Tuesday, not Friday like she promised. Oh well, we shall see if it arrives. It's not a TM trade, it's from Shopify. The trader says she wasn't alerted by Shopify of my sale and will be reassessing her use of the platform. I'll give her the benefit of doubt for now.

Just as well I'll be resting again today, there's thunder forecasted so the Furry One will no doubt be shaking beside me.

No work on the quail, I just can't concentrate on it for now.
