RE: You can never have enough... - zqwerty - 08-08-2023 Try Baby Oil on the itching area where the dog is chewing fur. Aloe Vera is another potion to try, just break off a bit of the plant and touch the broken end juice onto the itchy area. Maybe bird mites, my dog always used to get itchy when I took her to the river water ramp where there were quite a few ducks and assorted bird life. Maybe look at diet, especially dry dog food, I found that my dog got an itchy bum with a certain brand of dog roll, which was dry and didn't need refrigeration, presumably the preservatives were the cause. RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 08-08-2023 Our old labby (long gone now ) couldn't eat Tux biscuits as they made her itch like crazy. I know the rolls you are talking about zqwerty, our labby couldn't tolerate those either. We feed the Furry One a mostly raw diet because of the learning curve we had with her. Quilting this afternoon Enjoy your day RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 08-08-2023 That Vit D is really important for our bones as we get older. It is one of the reasons I have stopped worrying about skin cancer when it comes to getting sun on my skin. My bones need the help, lol... RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 08-08-2023 Congrats Roma... Love new littles ones Washing Done and Hung. Decided to risk it and made a much chocolatey sponge.. Yay. Also made an uncooked slice. And Dishes done. Rang MrP who was moaning cos they think he had Arthurs Straw.. A Metal one. I told him not to sweat it, Ill take another one up tomorrow. They did x-rays this morning.. Finally. So hopefully they will show something. Now I can do my games and relax . Until I crumb a chop and put some cherry jam and cherries in the sponge to settle overnight RE: You can never have enough... - Lilith7 - 08-08-2023 Congratulations Roma - a new baby grand niece, very exciting for the family. Did a bit more pruning till it turned cold & then did a bit more painting on the boots; quite hard going but will see how they look when I finally finish them. RE: You can never have enough... - Praktica - 08-08-2023 Down here in the south, doctors are encouraged to give older patients vit D supplements - I take 2 capsules every month. RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 08-08-2023 Shorter days, colder temps, I remember it well. But such big skies... RE: You can never have enough... - Olive - 08-08-2023 I'm a Vit D3 believer - we each have 15,000 IU per week. It's regarded as a mood enhancer as well as helping with immunity and bone strength. Who can tell, but since I started to take it I've certainly got myself through some horrible experiences that might have broken me otherwise. RE: You can never have enough... - R2x1 - 08-08-2023 They sure have some flash sunsets on the middle island, but it is a shame that for the longest half of the year sunsets come so close to lunchtime, and breakfast. It is extremely unlikely that I'll ever be persuaded that sleet is a useful climate feature. RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 09-08-2023 Good Morning everyone A bit dim out there. So long as it is fine to get the cake inside, I dont care if we have a storm later lol. Had to [push myself with all the standing yesterday. And I have more this morning. But Im happy with what Ive done. Just cream and chocolate to go. Which I will do before I go see MrP this morning.. Im a little annoyed that he wouldn't work with me and change days, but either way it was going to be hard to juggle. Have a fab day everyone.. Mine will be good Im sure with the Gang. It does make for incredible gardens though. Keeps the white butterflies indoors instead of out there making caterpillars... RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 09-08-2023 morning ladies More fog, typical of the Waikato. lol , R2x1, the cold kills all those nasty garden bugs. Anything that kills white butterflies is welcome here. Today I need to repot one of the begonias into a bigger pot. It's a gorgeous double apricot and I'd like to keep it happy. I have some yellow begonias growing from cuttings under glass, but I think I'll leave them until I'm sure the frosts have finished. That may be around November as last October we were caught out with a frost. I need to work out on the main road but not in this fog. The traffic is so fast and busy, even wearing a high viz vest on a clear day they don't slow down. I've been working on the blimmen placemats. A little everyday gets me further to finishing. happy crafting RE: You can never have enough... - Roma - 09-08-2023 Good morning. Very cold but bright sunshine. How many of us cringe when we see a white butterfly flit by! I "hope" a couple of frosts will help us this year. Still mayhem on the roads here. The checkout guy yesterday told me he left for work 2 hours early and was still 40 minutes late ... madness! Not surprising to hear of road rage incidents. Vest on the go for me ... I'm slightly nervous that I have enough yarn Hope to get outside in the garden today. Need some seedlings but will wait until I see traffic flow improvement. Have a fun day with the gang Popeye. Your baking sounds yum and will go down well. Time to move. Enjoy the day. RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 09-08-2023 Finished off book 2 of my latest trilogy, so it can go back when I scoot this morning. And the little convection oven thing arrives today so that will be interesting, I shall spend some time checking out the hows and wheres of it. See how you influence me popeye! All your fault, lol... Boy it is chilly in here again, I am tempted to put the heat pump on a bit early. Even catty has migrated to her sheepskin, she only goes there when she needs extra insulation. I did notice yesterday though, that she has started to moult. I shall up the grooming to keep the shedding under control. Being dark it leaves a shadow on all my pretties and I hate vacking... That climate surely helps repel those garden pests, also means that parsnips, turnips, swedes etc grow to be edible. Ours are more structural than edible. Not quite so good for growing citrus though. This year, our lawns are quite well adapted to growing goldfish. Doc and lab tests are grudgingly admitting I'm not contagious, and if the next couple of tests are as good, I'll be OK to venture out the gate occasionally. I better start putting the scooter back together again; all these modifications are getting nearer to finding what doesn't work. Having twice as many batteries should be interesting. RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 09-08-2023 Oh dear... the neighbourhood should really becwarned in advance! I went down to collect some windfall lemons, squish squish squish... Mind you the new lawnmowing contractors love it. Means they can devote an extra ten minutes inside the ute checking on the phones and still get the job done. Too wet to mow... RE: You can never have enough... - R2x1 - 09-08-2023 it's a bad sign when the mowing contractors wear life jackets instead of fluoro.
