RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 11-10-2023 Rain overnight expected to fine up and see some sun later today cant beat the treats to get k9 on weighing scales - doesnt work for me though. Had my exercise for the day gym and vacuuming might do some baking this morning DH has appointment this morning and he plans to go to golf afterwards - great because he will drive himself there these days certainly frees up my time. Knit night last night and got up to armhole on 2nd front so will knock that off tonight then the sleeves and band. enjoy your day RE: You can never have enough... - Lilith7 - 11-10-2023 (10-10-2023, 06:40 PM)Oh_hunnihunni Wrote: Well, I'm sure a certain scooter modifying expert on here could organise such a thing - but wouldn't one of those battle helmets rather squish my top knot? Perhaps one of those see though bubble tops might work..so the cat can see out & navigate. RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 11-10-2023 the Furry One has had his vaccination and is back on the Prednisone starting next week for his fur pulling. He looks like he's moth eaten. While there a lady was in with her spaniel which was being trained to detect blood sugar lows and highs for her diabetic son. Very cool! We went to the book fair and blew our budget lol. But 16 books for $30 was pretty darn good buying. Considering most of the books were hard back and most were in mint condition. MrK was very impressed so I guess I am stuck with him at the book fair every year now RE: You can never have enough... - Lilith7 - 11-10-2023 (11-10-2023, 02:12 PM)kiwimade64 Wrote: the Furry One has had his vaccination and is back on the Prednisone starting next week for his fur pulling. You can use that, KM - twice the number of books! RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 12-10-2023 Morning everyone Wet and windy out there this morning.. Not looking forward to going out into it.. but needs a must. Picking up NW Stickers, popping into MrP and then a wee bit of shopping.. Then I think I will go to my take away shop and see if I can buy some sausages. Raw to make toad in the hole. Hopefully Ill be able to get the casserole dish today. All this politics is starting to do my head in.. Ill be glad once it is all over at the end of November. Have a fab day all stay warm and dry RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 12-10-2023 Morning Lovely fine day here Will spend morning at warehouse might get DGD1 hoodie jacket finished this afternoon. Have sleeve 1 on the needles should get that finished tonight Enjoy your day RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 12-10-2023 morning ladies We seem to have a mixed day weather wise as well. lol Lilith, yep, I could! He couldn't believe the quality of books for sale and how cheaply they were being sold. Considering you can buy one book brand new for the crazy prices of $30 or so, we did all right. And the books look brand new. Insane that people buy books, read it once, then donate to the book fair. But if they didn't, then I guess we wouldn't have these bargains. There were lots of very old books as well I'm not sure what we are doing today but it could involve a certain person with a new pruner Happy crafting RE: You can never have enough... - zqwerty - 12-10-2023 My dog Stella used to get itchy skin and bum, tried many cures but it turned out to be the dry dog roll called Chunky that was the problem. There is a standard filling and a possum version. The advantage of this roll is that it doesn't need refrigeration which is convenient, but I think it must be the preservatives which caused my dog problems. Gave her different food and that was the end of the problem. RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 12-10-2023 We have tried different food and have now come to the conclusion it's part of his thyroid issue The Furry One is in for a shock soon as he is going to have a bath with medicated shampoo. He hates water with a vengeance so this is going to be a challenge. RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 12-10-2023 There was a vet on instagram or farcebook yesterday clipping a dog's nails, with his head gladwrapped and smeared with dogfood. The dog was delighted to focus on that rather than the clippers. So there you go km, apron and gladwrap... RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 13-10-2023 Morning everyone Dark and gloomy out there this morning. Not cold tho. Off to see MrP this morning.. he was feeling a little better yesterday and not so grey in the cheeks. I managed to pick up the New World stickers without Bobbie seeing me, so I got the casserole dish free.. There was heaps in the Container Rest Home David gave me. ( I call him that cos MrP is David too) .So many given to me yesterday that I got extra utensils.. And Im sending some more to my sister friend in Taranaki as well. The person who answered the phone where MrP is messed up last night, so after waiting 45 minutes I gave up and went out and mowed the front lawn. A little tension and the previous pain med made me move faster lol.. It will rain before I get the back done tho. I didn't watch the debate. I cannot stand one of them.. And as for $60 on food that's rediculous, do they not buy cleaners, pet food, personal items lol. Perhaps he hasn't been shopping in the last 4 years lol. Have a fab day everyone.. Looks like the perfect day for being inside crafting RE: You can never have enough... - Roma - 13-10-2023 Good morning. Sunny and warm here. I cashed in some stickers yesterday as well ... a pot this time and have the casserole. I don't need them but will give them to family or friends, would far rather have $$ vouchers to put towards the groceries though! The lady behind me pointed out that the $100 pot had been added to my total ... I did notice but she was obviously watching my tally A library trip today to see if I can match the gripping book I've just finished and a few more grocery items as I go past. Then some time in the garden. The debates are embarrassing ... to think that the mud slingers are meant to be potential leaders! Cuppa finished ... enjoy the day. RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 13-10-2023 (13-10-2023, 07:13 AM)Roma Wrote: Good morning. Yeah they add the price to the docket but remove it as well. With friends help I have the roaster. frying pan, 2 sets of utensils and the casserole. not interested in the small pot or Wok.. so I feel totally spoilt RE: You can never have enough... - Roma - 13-10-2023 Popeye she didn't remove it at the end and my eyes popped at the total. She had to redo the docket! It did make me wonder if she had made the same mistake for anyone else and they just thought their groceries were pricey that time! RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 13-10-2023 Morning Overcast with brisk wind this morning DH has walked the k9s and I have done the supermarket run no meat today made a difference on the total, we have to eat out the freezer OHH you made me laugh with visions of k9 visor smeared with food Meeting friends for lunch the restaurant chosen has polar opposite reviews love or hate so it will be interesting menu doesn't look that gluten free either. Might be babysitting tonight have yet to be advised Enjoy your day RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 13-10-2023 I quite like the wok, despite the non stick surface. But we shall see, I am not collecting any more, the big pot with the utensils and the wok are enough stickering for now! Did floors and dusting yesterday so I am ahead of myself for the weekend, me 'n the cat might just be lazy today. The bones are a bit antsy at the moment and I have a good book... RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 13-10-2023 morning ladies It's threatening to rain so I've been out in the garden and mowed all of the lawn *polishes halo* Now if I can just get the washing dry I'll be happy. Dublin Bay is starting to flower (early for me!) and my first iris is out, a lovely purple and white. I saw that video clip, OHH lol. Our boy would scoff it so fast I wouldn't have time to bath him lol. I don't shop at New World so not collecting the stickers. We have all the pots and pans we need and I love my cast iron frying pans. They were $$$ well spent back in the day And MrK inherited his parents pan when they died, that one is well over 100 years old now and works a treat. happy crafting RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 13-10-2023 Can't beat a well season cooking pan Back from lunch good company food meh, interesting as the beer battered fish and chips listed as GF, asked if they used gf beer.. they didn't realise that most beers are not gf got to be always vigilant Voted and sitting having a nice cuppa with a melting moment biscuit (yummy) RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 13-10-2023 When the sun came out I managed to get seedlings planted out into their big garden pots, beetroot, beans, tomatoes. The NZ spinach seed has sprouted, only two seeds so far, but even that would keep me supplied, I plan to put that into my huge baskets, coir lined, so it can spill over the edges and be easy to trim for the kitchen. And new top soil dug fron under the feijoas to mix with clay to prepare the substrate for the new tank that arrives on Sunday. Just in time, the aquatic plants in the first tank are going mad, sucking up all the excess plant food as the tank balances out to start the various chemistry cycles. And my lotus leaf, tiny, is slowly unfurling in the sun. Fish, wedges, and baked asparagus spears for dinner, the first of the year. So good. Clear blue skies, a chilly night ahead, but summer is definitely coming... RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 13-10-2023 I swear this is the last blardy phone Im buying him.. Why... Cos Im dumb. If he stuffs it I'm not getting any more.. Its nice here at the mo too.. |
