Out early to see about printing & pick a few bits & pieces, got card illustration printed & discovered that they only do page sizes, so A4,A5 etc etc. Which means I'll now have to re do all 5 great grandkids house illustrations, so I'm extremely glad I went to see about it with plenty of time to re do things, annoying as it is, dammit.

Also managed to get cushion inserts for the cushion xmas gifts, will leave them till later to do anything with.
And planted the lovely Lavender I got the other day so fingers crossed to thrives out there, should get plenty of sun, & then pruned back the jasmine by the front door - with help from Madame Le Cat,who insisted on overseeing, including a meow every now & then. The bossy stance only slightly spoiled by her getting stuck perched on the gate. Smile So unprofessional!

But she sorted it out quickly & pretended nothing had happened & she had fully intended to perch like that... Smile

Like Tatty cat, who was rolling around getting tummy rubs on the bed last night and rolled straight off the edge. When I looked over to sre if she was all right she was sitting with her back to me, tail atwitch. I had to beg forgiveness even though I didn't push her off...

As with bad weather, it is always our fault.

Home, sore but happy.

Gotta love it when someone remembers your Before lol, The guy that did my echo was actually one of my cardiac team. And his first words after asking why I needed the walker was What had I done .. lol.. re the weight, he said it makes doing the Echo way easier. And I was in done and out 4 minutes after my appointment time. He said it all looks good. Not often they are working ahead of time.

I sat and knitted while waiting. I must get it out of the car later.

Gotta love it how we are to blame for Cats mishaps lol... I just took a photo of Missy holding the handle of the walker lol.

Going to have a quiet day tomorrow, my car seat is far to hard on my butt. Im sore as lol.

morning ladies Smile What a stunner of a morning!

lmao Lilith and OHH, sounds like the Furry One when I buried 'his' rabbit... he ignored me for an hour and I got some reallllly dirty looks lol.

Yesterday we were up at McLaren Falls again. It's so pretty there and a lovely spot to have lunch and enjoy the bird life. There were quite a few people around too and a couple of rest home tour buses passed through. My sister-in-law has given us her flash camera she used on her overseas travel as she said she won't use it anymore. Yesterday was a chance to have a tutu with it and see how it works. I just love it and MrK hates it lol. Guess who will be using it lol. If she does anymore overseas travel she'll take the camera so it's more of a 'permanent loan'.

Not sure what we are going to do today, we may head over to Rotorua to pick the camellia up from my sister-in-law. We swapped plants as I could only buy the one I wanted with a double trunk and they don't espalier very well. Hers is perfectly straight so easy to espalier. Made sense to swap.

Happy crafting Smile

RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 11-11-2023

Morning everyone

Its certainly a beautiful day out there.

The town had its fire work display last night. I didn't bother to get up but we did hear it. A couple of louder ones got Missy's attention but she was ok with a bit of patting. There hasn't been many home sessions on this side of town.

The pain is halved. I will work through it. I have washing, vacuuming and the lawn on my weekend agenda.

I will pop up and buy some water at some stage. I thought the lime build up was bad enough on the other side of town, but its worse here. Could be the pipes Im not sure. But a new jug was covered within weeks when I was filling my hotties. I wouldn't drink the water from it. And thankfully I dont drink hot anything very often. And Id use a pot if I had visitors. But most of my people bring their bottles anyway.

Gosh its Many many moons since I went to Mclaren Falls. Was a teenager. I freely admit I simply dont like Tauranga. Never have.

Yesterday I made a huge mistake. I wanted to go to Kmart and hopefully get some better shoes, than crocks. Well it had Moved and after googling I found it. Its a 24 hour shop. What a MISTAKE that was. It was packed, but it was like a bomb had gone off. In the shoe area the shoes were everywhere. I couldn't get the trolley into the isles. The shoes were half hanging in a mess no sorted look at all. People just left them on the seats for trying them on.

It felt soo messy, unorganized and it was like it was closing in on me. I decided to leave. I wont be going back in any hurry. Trouble being I dont know what size my feet are since losing the weight. But anything else Ill either shop online or go at 2am in the morning..

Habe a fab day all

If you buy shoes online, they often have a measurement section where you can measure your feet to find the right size.

Sadly I have wide feet but also high arches.. So I need to try on. And a big difference in length too I assume cos the latest crocks are loose on my left foot and right on the right lol

RE: You can never have enough... - Roma - 11-11-2023

Good morning.

We're in for a lovely day again.

Popeye, no harm in going to a local shoe shop and getting your feet measured ... you aren't obliged to buy, though you could feign interest, lol.

We are getting fireworks day and night, the night before last an alarm went off at 2.15am presumably at the local primary school, for over half an hour with intermittent "Get out of the building" messages ... ridiculous it went on for so long with no obvious response! It also regularly goes off during the day especially during school holidays for ages ... the "Cry Wolf" effect!

DH and I will have a working bee outside today, no other plan ... will make the most of the fine weather though.

We are looking forward to time in Wellington next week for GD's first birthday and check out where the family are living.

Enjoy the day all.

RE: You can never have enough... - Mica - 11-11-2023

Morning all
Lovely fine day I need to change to lighter clothes

Shoe shopping hard as sizes vary quite a bit between  rands

More fireworks locally last night = trembling panty mess one boy k9 the other 2 k9s not bothered.

Been out with DD this morning to purchase a car seat for my car not sure what I will get up to today as I am very tired awake until 2 am this morning very annoying as I usually nod off pretty fast most nights.

DD and DGD1 coming for dinner tonight so will make chocolate mousse  for DGD1, she will play in spa bath then off home to bed.

Enjoy your day

RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 11-11-2023

Well, the Tatty cat got even with me abandoning her for three days last night. She pooped outside the litter box. Still in the shower thank goodness but outside...

So creative thinking was required to avoid bending past the right angle and a nice forceful hose down with the shower head and all is spotless again. Blardy cats! It had to happen though, I'm just hoping that is it for a while. My next challenge is dishes and laundry. I suspect both can wait till Sunday, lol...

RE: You can never have enough... - popeye333 - 11-11-2023

Thats exactly why I love having two showers Hunni. I figure it will be an easy clean if she does. And cos I dont use the ensuite shower Things just stay in there well sorted. She only goes once a day in general so cleaned up as soon as I know.

Moving a little easier now. But I went back to sleep again.. I need some earlier nights I think.

Game time now since I couldn't stay wake long enough to do them this morning. Meds taken and the Lovely deep heat on my knees, I am not fond of the smell but Ill live with it. it has cleared my nose at least lol

RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 11-11-2023

I have dropped the morning painkillers, and so far so good. Amazing how fast we can heal.

Lol Lilith.. no they dont lol. Mine is currently staring at me, tell me she is starving. There are open biscuits in two rooms. If she was hungry she would eat them. But alas.. its time to feed her and for me to turn some not so fresh Tank loaf bread into Round French toast lol

Feeling very deprived so have cheered myself up reading about your manipulative cats - have many memories of different cats we have had over the years who not only ruled the family members but also the various canines
Was supposed to be at Robbie Williams tonight at the Mission with the family but have had a rough two weeks - was delivering stuff to the old lady who feeds the kids at the motel but despite the free pantry being full a bracelet wearing parolee resident decided he would give me a shove and take the bag of chicken drumsticks - unfortunately the bottom corner of the car door sliced my leg open and it has been a real drama - thank god for the district nurses - the first week I got stuck on the toilet one day my leg just didn’t have the strength to stand me up - my phone was in the lounge - lucky Robie popped round unexpectedly after I had been there 3 hours - I now have a raised toilet seat and an electric chair and an alarm - he was annoyed I hadn’t said I was struggling .The police talked to me about charging the scum who shoved me but he has 119 charges already with court dates until 2025 so not going to waste my time plus the old lady is frightened of repercussions as he lives in the unit above her - silly thing is when she cooks he can share
Anyway that’s my moan it’s a beautiful evening and no doubt Robbie Williams is entertaining the crowd well

Morning everyone

For some reason my page has changed and I cant find how to start a new post that isnt a reply.

Ohh Jan it sure has been a rough time for you. Glad you have the extras to help with daily life. The alarm especially brings peace of mind. My sister in law told me once if you want them urgently set it off but dont respond when they talk. they will be there quick smart.  I hope you mend soon.

My pain is about a 5 now, normal level. I might attempt the front lawn later.

My Taranaki friend has ordered 4 stockings, I finished knitting number 3 last night and started the last green one. I haven't put any together as yet. If I get the lawn done today it will free up Tuesday to put them together.

She was telling me its a 2 year wait for knees down there. she sees her ortho Dr near the end of this month.

Have a fab day all

RE: You can never have enough... - kiwimade64 - 12-11-2023

morning ladies Smile Another stunner of a day on the cards here.

Buggar, Jan! What a scumbag, even more so as he could have enjoyed some regardless. Good idea having the alarm, dad had one and it was the best investment in his health ever.

I've been out planting plants I raided from my sister-in-law's garden this morning. The daisies I planted along the roadside are starting to flower and look nice and cheerful.

MrK has decided he is not going to drive anymore until his eye is sorted. He hit a kerb three times and the final time popped the tyre. So, I drove on the spare yesterday, and we will have to replace it tomorrow. It gave him a fright and he made the decision. I'm back to being the chauffeur lol.

Happy crafting Smile

RE: You can never have enough... - Roma - 12-11-2023

Good morning.

It's lovely outside already. Such a nice time of the year.

Sorry to hear your good deed was undone by the lowlife Jan. Adding insult to injury not getting to go to Robbie Williams  Sad Have to wonder about the wisdom of ankle bracelets sometimes. I hope you are back to your usual self in no time.

No plan for today other than seeing if the netting I have is sufficient to go over the hooped frame made for the blueberries.

Enjoy the day all.

RE: You can never have enough... - Oh_hunnihunni - 12-11-2023

He''ll be going down under the new government Jan, along with lots of others, and I hope you heal fast. Next time I perch on the fat tyre that is my loo seat I shall high five you! I feel like a toddler with my feet dangling lol, but I absolutely support the idea of a St Johns alarm - or the equivalent. I haven't had to use mine yet but boy it has boosted my sense of security. Especially at night. And it lets us keep our independence...
