I watched that Swedish death cleaning thing as well, similar to the decluttering things but the woman they helped was really an interesting character. & they did definitely help her sort stuff out.
Hot here, 23 now so not doing much outside today.

Enjoyable afternoon evening yesterday we ate out doors first time this summer wont be the last.
Been to gym,vacuumed and washed the floors, plan spent hour or so this morning working on document and sewing cave this afternoon.

morning ladies
Another sticky, humid night and now day.We love eating outside, much cooler and it seems to add something 'extra' to the meal.
Yesterday I posted several fishing items on Market Place and ommg my phone has been going nuts. Most of it has been sold so very happy. I guess listing stuff to sell is all about timing.
Once the bin man has been I can bin the piles of weeds I weeded last week that wouldn't fit in the bins or couldn't be composted. The dahlias need tying up as well and Blackberry Nip needs to be threaded onto the wires. Barely six months old and she is already taller than the fence.
Hopefully today I can spend some time having a tutu with different stitches for the table runner. This runner is going to take a while to do as it will be quite long.

Morning everyone
Thank goodness for fans at night. Although I haven't hit the high speed like previous years.
Have just piled all my sales at the front door. Feels good too. I did some birthday shopping last night on temu. Just something little for each of the gang, except I have missed one, and haven't found something for MrP.
Nice when sales happen quickly eh Kiwimade. I think Ill book another inorganic pick up and then start working through MrPs junk in the shed. Trying to get as much as I can done. The problem being its soo hot down there even with the door open.
St Johns are coming today to drop off a direct debit form, dont know why they stopped the previous payment. I guess they will service the alarm while here.

that's the roses and dahlias tamed for now
and the piles of weeds have been binned. It was lovely and cool outside, but the humidity is back. I need to sort more plastic garden pots for recycling at Mitre 10 so the next time one of us is in town, they can be dropped off. Over the years we have built up quite the collection!

No sun yet, but after a walk with the K9 just now it's going to be hot!
Busy yesterday with GC's to mind and an appointment in the afternoon across town that I made by 2 minutes ... blimin traffic to negotiate at holiday time!
Nothing like a 'stuff' clear out and even better earning some $$ to make you feel even better. I have several bags waiting to (or remembering to) take to the Op Shop sometime when I go past.
Mica I ironed a shirt for DH yesterday .... should have parked the ironing board in front of the TV
But to be fair, he's the one still out earning a crust at nearly 70 ... he says he does, so his back doesn't seize up completely!Time to move, meeting daughter and GC's for coffee and then library, prescription and food later.

What a way to start the day - an unnecessary 7am phone call from the GP surgery asking me if I wanted the appointment I made at 2.30 today (?????). Well, yes, otherwise I wouldn't have made it - duh... Followed by a text to say my internet had changed over to a new provider, requiring me to set up the new modem, which is no fun that early before brain has fired up , lol. Of course first password entry was wrong - is it ever correct first time? But finally sorted...
And omg, new modem is fast, lol. My ancient tablet won't know what to do with itself.
I still hate technology though. It is just not designed for old ladies with short tempers...

Thank you for the recipe Kiwimade - have put the necessary ingredients on my shopping list - will be using my minced ginger as well - just like garlic who knows where what is in the supermarket is grown .Had a smile about your blackberry nip - Glenvale Blackberry nip was made near the village I grew up in -any kid who managed to get a school holiday job at the winery was expected to share their free bottles with the rest of us - looking back I thought my parents didn’t know but there was never enough for us to become legless -
Had the police knock on my door yesterday - the refugee next door has gone AWOL - I haven’t seen him since the end of November - the lady who owns the house went in - all his stuff is gone but he left food in the fridge and on the bench .The police told her she can’t legally change the locks because the govt has paid up until the end of the month - so she got cleaners in then changed the locks and returned the rent payments to the govt so the ball is in HNZ court - she let the house to the govt during Covid supposedly for families living in cars but in the five years she has been receiving $1200 A WEEK - one couple and 6 young men all refugees short term tenants have used the place - unfortunately HNZ wouldn’t let her break the lease - but hopefully it will now get sorted - unfortunately she is putting it on the market was hoping she would let it to one of the motel families
Have been watching Fauda on Netflix - based on a true story - no matter which side you think is right it is very thought provoking

And that is why grandkids are soooo handy!
Although its usually one of the sweetie darlings - usually SD no.2 - who does all my tech stuff, on account of me being famously (or possibly infamously) a technoklutz.That 7am phonecall seems totally unnecessary though - might be worth pointing out that older people tend to sometimes have sleeping problems...
Did the dreaded groceries, took Madame Le Dog for a walk as its going to get very hot later, according to the forecast.
Eldestgrandson is a thoughtful lad - he came over the other day & borrowed an old video from me because it has several family events,weddings,holidays etc.etc, on it & he's found a place which transfers them onto a CD or USB or something & he wanted to get his Mum & Dad's wedding copied as a surprise for them.
We had a look together - & I was surprised at how young we all looked. According to grandson I don't look any different apart from hair colour...so had to ask how long since he's had his eyes checked, since my mirror goves a very different view!

NOrty F Word... I just typed a big message and it vanished.
Suffice to say today has been a Blardy horrible one.
Dealing with drs , chemists, Post shop and Couriers..
The result is I dont have my pain pills, so I had to take one I didnt want to take.
I dont have my parcel.
And the Lying Courier didnt pick up the parcels he was meant to either.
I did have the sense to ring and leave a message for MrP saying He DOESNT want to talk to me tonight...
And Ill ring again in the morning to say He doesnt want to see me tomorrow either.. Until I see the lying brick of a courier
Blackberry nip was the first alcohol I ever had, My Aunt love it lol

I met my new doc today. She's Brazilian, and reminds me of a bossy eldest daughter, lol. Very caring, determined to be helpful, poor woman. She has a pathological independent as a new patient, I shall have to remember to play nicely...

morning ladies
We had another beautiful sunrise this morning. MrK is planting a few more spuds and watering the garden.Quite a few years ago I had a run in with our postie. We're rural so pay extra to have parcels delivered. One day I found one of those notes in the mail box saying we weren't home to make the delivery. We had been home for days. And it was obvious we were home, car in the drive, windows open, radio on and so on. I went into town to pick the parcel up and made a complaint. Said to them what was the point in paying extra for rural delivery when we had a postie who was too bloody lazy to make deliveries and I had to come into town for them. It wasn't long after that he was no longer doing the rural runs. We now have a lovely postie who does his job.
I'm expecting a couple of pick-ups from the FB Marketplace sales today. One lady texted and asked if she could pick the rod up yesterday rather than today. Suited me
I'll have another tutu with some embroidery stitches today while I wait for the fabric lady to come back from holiday. I might even turn it into some kind of sampler I can use as a tray cloth. Ages ago, MrK made me a cute wee rimu tray for our morning cuppas we have outside each morning. I use it pretty much every day.

Morning everyone
A bit grey out there. Missed the weather forecast so not sure what is meant to happen.
I have calmed down over night. But have put the parcels out again and put a massive sign on the door for the courier to stop, so I can talk to him.
I wont go and see MrP until I've seen the courier.
I put the last of the first bag of Wood pellets in Missy's tray last night. So it did 3 months and 5 days for $12-59. Where I was paying $13 every 7-10 days.. I have 3 more bags in the garage. So Ill get a whole year for just a smidge over $50. Very Happy, Thank you Hunni its awesome. I must empty the bucket later.
I was so sore last night, sitting twisted so I could see out the window, that I took a morphine dose. Have been hesitant cos Morphine usually makes me sick. It worked well and didn't make me sick. So I know they are there when needed.
I must have missed this episode of the Sewing Bee. I dont remember them making mens clothes. So really enjoying it.

Good morning.
It's going to be hot today but even hotter in Hamilton I see, where we are headed for DH appointment.
The day will be spent catching up with family as well, hopefully the road is not too busy.
I've never seen so many couriers since moving into 'town' .... fairly obvious that a large proportion of shopping is done online nowadays. When we were living rural, our vet was good enough for the odd parcel to be dropped there .... to save on that extra cost, lol!
Yesterday while walking along the beach down Papamoa way with daughter and GS's we realised we were following a naked male backside strolling along the water's edge and looking around there were more people sunbathing
It didn't take long to work out we in the infamous 'nude beach' territory! Not something you come across in everyday life!Cuppa finished and nearly time to head off.

Been to gym, vacuuming next , got to do a quick food run as with have people joining us for dinner tonight, we splashed out and bought cube roll for DH to BBQ
Quiet day yesterday made w t shirts for DGD1 18 inch doll that she got for Xmas. I guess the tradition started with her mum making outfits for her doll and big Ted to match hers.

He was smiling, happy and generally nice. He even said I can see how sore you are, go home and rest.
His fluid is nearly to where it was last time they sent him off to be drained, so we both agreed it might be close to needing to be done again.
He's covered in wound pads from bumps and scrapes, looks like he's done a few rounds with Mike Tyson lol

I should've stayed home today, but I got a bit carried away and took the scoot on an extended joy ride before my coffee and cake date. Then on the way home, I blew a tyre...
Oh boy!
Fortunately not too far from a mechanic, who sorted it for me. He's getting afternoon tea on me next week when I go pay the bill!

Im about to put in a written complaint to NZ Post.. the parcels that were meant to be picked up yesterday are Still here.
Just as well I remember the Round number from Monday and yesterdays fiasco with my parcel.
Been humid and not twice so far today. Currently not which is good
