Brian Tamaki is now allowed at Auckland domain but banned from attending any protest & a new condition has been added banning him from speaking at any gatherings, & prohibited from using the internet to incite non compliance.
Seems reasonable enough, given his past behaviour.

maori held full and legal title to this land when my ancestors landed.

while the maori were a formidable warrior people, they met a well oiled colonising machine..
well armed, well organised and well capitalised.
that the maori got a treaty at all was somewhat removed from our usual m.o.
at no time did we ever intend to honour it.
we continue to reap what was sown.

but what the hey
my ancestors were colonised multiple times and never sought redress from our occupiers.
the vikings, the french, the romans, the hun, the normans and today by the middle east.
we thought those were the rules. we may have let those europeans off a tad too lightly im thinking.
in fact, im going to get an invoice together right now.

so what, they were colonised by a larger force just like maori did to each other they are lucky they wernt all killed, like they did to their enemy's they arnt special and dont deserve any special treatment nowdays

it does now.
previously it only worked for the coloniser.
