A few months ago I converted my Acer chromebook 317 to Linux Mint 21.2. It performs very well, but gets a little warm at times as it doesn't have a fan, or any ventilation.
I have been trying to install Q4OS because it is much lighter, yet has everything that I require for the conversion. The installation fails.
The details are in the attached PDF.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
EDIT:
The problem was that Q4os saw the drive as dev/vda, and not dev/emmce. I installed the latest MX23 which set up the drive exactly the same as Mint did. Installed with no problems, runs cooler than with mint, & there is a setting for the numpad key, so I don't need to use the 'onboard' keyboard to enable it. (there is no numpad key on the Chromebook keyboard)
The soundcard is also working, which did not happen with Mint.
