Problem with Sound in Acer Chromebook 317
#1
I have two identical Acer Chromebook 317 with Jasper Lake HD Audio Pro cards. They have both been converted to MX Linux 23 OS. One works perfectly, the other has the card disabled & locked, so I can not enable it. Sound works on a USB card, but Jasper is disabled. I have checked the settings on both except that one card , & they are identical.
How can I enable the Jasper Lake card?  Huh

Here are the information sheets for both computers. Jasper Lake sound card is disabled in the second one

I went to Google and found https://forum.endeavouros.com/t/trying-t...re/29505/5

Look at replies 6 and 7, they might help. I know nothing of Linux so I am shooting in the dark.

No luck! I have added two info files which show that one is enabled & the other is not. Identical computers, same USB stick used for both.

You could try posting the problem on a linux forum.

I reinstalled Linux MX23 KDE with a fresh ISO. All good now both computers perform well.
