small fan removal
#1

How to unplug this from it's connector?  It's a tiny 35mm x35mm fan from a NVR of CCTV box.

I don't want to pull it out by force as it may break something.  There must be a latch holding it.

Can anyone help?

Cheers

the lug will be on the plug itself and you will need to gently pull back the plastic loop that rises up at the front of the socket on the mainboard (the front, from the perspective in the picture)

Small flathead screwdriver should be enough to get in between the plug and socket and create just enough of a gap to get the plug out...
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.

Are you replacing the fan?

I hope you're not removing the fan entirely and still expect the device it's from to work normally without overheating...
