Unfortunately it seems most of society has decided that Covid is magically over, and is no longer a threat... but it's still around and still a problem!

I think that here in Aotearoa the coalition government is doing everything it can to pretend that Covid doesn't exist, hoping that we will all forget how enormously effective the previous government's Covid response was. At Parliamentary Question Time recently Nicola Willis had the gall to accuse the previous government of borrowing too much and leaving "nothing to show for it", as if the saving of around 20, 000 lives and hundreds of small businesses meant nothing.

Yeah...& their cut,slash & bash is working so very well. If we get another widespread outbreak of covid, I hate to think of the consequences given that this lot have removed so much from - well,everything really, but it would be health we'd need & which would be sorely lacking. Neo Liberals have extreme difficulty seeing past those massive dollar signs in their eyes.
