Does Single Channel Memory Matter??
#1
Hi All,

In another thread in this list  I bought a PB Jupiter mini PC with 32gig of RAM.  I noticed when I opened it up that it only has one 32Gig memory stick rather than two  16 gig ones for dual  memory. Does single channel memory matter in this day  and age??

Open Google and search for "what is better single or dual sticks of memory." The AI response gives a good rundown and reasons.

Thanx for that. Considering I don't do gaming and this PC is mainly for office type of work with a little bit of video editing and playing with virtual machine on Virtual Box single channel seems fine at present. Will save my penies and buy another 32 gig stick though it does seem like an overkill.

32gb is heaps, I have that in a PC running 3 virtual machines
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.
