Cant get rid of password Login
#1
I have just installed widows 11 version 24H2 on a Asus VivoBook.
I cannot get rid of the password login.
I can usually get around this by using netplwiz.
But this time it will not get me into the account area to remove the tic.
I can change the login to a pin instead of the password.
But if I get rid of that it goes back to the password.

What is the latest work around for this ?

This all depends on if you originally signed in with only a local account or a Microsoft account 1st.  If its a fresh install, unless you actually bypassed the MS account it tries to insist you have  then you will have a MS Account.

Normally you just go into the Account, Your Info, select Sign into Local Account - You'll get warnings etc, then once in the local account just leave the password empty.  Other way once in Local Account make a password, then reboot, sign in, the select change password - Leave it blank.

To change the Pin you must 1st have a Password installed.

Are you are signing in with a local account or a Microsoft account
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.
