Photo size
#1
I have an old photo that has been scanned as a .pdf file. I have found a site on the web that has converted the .pdf to .jpg. The .pdf was copied at 38% which I can increase when on .jpg to 100%.

Try as I might, I cannot get the photo to save at 100%. Any ideas how I can save at 100%? I am running Windows 11 Pro.

when talking in percentages, with graphic programs at least it is usually referring to a zoom level or window view.

The size of a photos is generally measured in pixels or dots... dots per inch etc.

A decent camera photo might be something like 4500 x 2500 or higher

But on the subject of extracting photos from PDF if you have Adobe Reader installed, assuming windows at least, then there is an export option built in which is likely to get you the best version of the photo.
Details here

But be aware that often photos are shrunk and/or compressed when they are added to PDFs... If it is your photo and your scanning that you have done, then I would just redo it and look for the Scan to Image option on your scanner... That will get you what you need in the most direct manner...

Also keep in mind when scanning, a higher DPI selection of say 1200, will get you a bigger photo resolution, better quality, but slower scan and larger file size...

For decent photo manipulations, resizing etc I usually use

This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.

Thanks for that, I had forgotten about Infranview, I'll see if it will do what I would like it to.
