#1
It seems that factions are resisting the moves being done by Trump

Perhaps his actions this time have been a bit of an eye opener for some of his previous supporters.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)

Yes they are not exaggerating either; the reason all the 1%'ers are getting excited is because of the overseas debt which is trillions and trillions, mostly to China I think, so 2025 crew, Musk, Trump et al are taking money from the poor by firing everyone, cancelling aide programs etc to pay off that debt rather than default which will wipe the value of the Dollar and make all the rich a lot poorer.

Either way USA is in big, big trouble, they've been living beyond their means for many years, exporting all the blue collar manufacturing jobs overseas to Asian Tigers for instance didn't help and now they are paying the price for short term profit seeking instead of long term planning.

Dog eat dog.

Plenty of people are going to die, maybe even civil war, a deep depression at the very least.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

We've been living beyond our means here for decades too - check out our overseas debt
"New Zealand External Debt reached 246.4 USD bn in Sep 2024, compared with 227.1 USD bn in the previous quarter." From here

Yes I didn't want to say that so as not to seem as if I am always criticising NZ.
