Sending Airpods to Australia
#1
my son left some apple airpods behind last visit home so i took them into NZ Post to send them back, initially  they quoted $90 to send them to Brisbane, the guy looked up the post bible and told me they cant send them because they have a battery

they arrived on a plane from Brisbane and they had a battery

i asked him what about all the battery stuff pouring into the country every day from temu  and he said it can come in but we cant send out

also $90 for something the size of a matchbox is OTT

It is indeed. Especially when we order something from a supplier in Oz who offers free post then find they've passed the order on to their supplier in China who can still get it here for $30 and free post - from China! And I get charged $10.98 to courier the tiny plastic case for my Sumsung from South Auckland to Narrowneck. Blardy rip offs everywhere...

I do like the case though, bit of superglue, bit of sharp blade and it fits the leather case I made for the previous version, beats the hell out of the mass produced vinyl ones.

Yeah perhaps Luxon had something to do with that in his previous roles in Airport running, poor management etc over reacting and under reacting.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche
